Things to do in Canoa Quebrada

Due to its proximity to the ocean with its strong onshore trade winds, the first thing you notice is that a fine sandy grit covers everything inside. But this is a common denominator here in Canoa Quebrada. That said, the food is apparently of Argentine extraction with various forms of meat heavy dishes on the menu.
Or to use their own words - "The best meats, the traditional flavour of the farms of Argentina." As you might decide to have a solid red wine with your dinner, you can walk around the restaurant until you find the table on which sits the bottle best suited to your taste, and sit there. Prices are slightly higher than at other restaurants on Broadway, but the steaks are good, cooked as you prefer, come served on a hot plate, and there is plenty of it if you choose the meal for two people.

Located in the centre of Canoa Quebrada's Broadway is not to be missed. I love Brazilian (and Cuban) food, but I was kind of disappointed with the flavours and quality of the food served there. Prices were OK, staff also, beer served chilled, but main meal wasn't good at all. Unfortunately I was late and after long journey, so didn't want to go anywhere else (as I was sooo hungry). Even coffee wasn't that great (strong enough for BR/CU), so this was quite disappointing.

The sign outside says Restaurant, Pizzaria, Creperia. Oh, upstairs is a hostel. The place doesn’t have a lot of charm or ambiance, but the food we had, we enjoyed. I had a lasagna Bolognese which was generous and well-done. My wife had a crepe, which itself was ok, but the plating was awkward, with salad in 4 corners of the plate. The portions are generous.
The service was mediocre at best: our waitress couldn’t have been less pleasant or attentive.

I've been to Costa Brava some times and I must confess the food got me surprised. The food was tasty in all times I had dinner there, such as: paella, supreme fish in garlic, rosemary, and baked potatoes, brownie for dessert. The service, everything! The owner really know how to continue his hard work on it! Congratulations. The restaurant is frequently busy.

Brazilian/French fusion restaurant. Located on a very quiet street of Canoa, the place itself is all outdoors and very well decorated. Peaceful atmosphere, warm colors...
the welcome itself was fine, not overly friendly but professional enough.
The Caipirinhas were good.
The food was nothing to write home about, but good enough.
It lacks a bit of authenticity, but we wish the foreign owners a successful story here in Canoa!

We were walking on the street when an Italian waiter stopped us to show us the menu card. We were looking for real Italian pizza and he certified it was the case in La Tratoria. Finally we had our pizza 'Brazilian style' with a lot of cheese and cream ; sorry but it's absolutely not like real Italian pizza ; in fact our worst meal in Canoa.

Walking along the beach and then relaxing at Lazy Days is what you should do in Canoa Quebrada. Luca and his team are welcoming you at this special place. Try the spaghetti carbonara and everything from the BBQ. Never forget to drink a caipirinha.

This is a great place to have lunch while waiting for the afternoon bus back to Fortaleza. There is a large covered dining hall where you can have por kilo lunch or order from an extensive menu. After lunch you can enjoy the sun and sand among the palm trees overlooking the beach. With a cold beer or a caipirinha. There is free wifi and a swimming pool. They will even store your luggage for you until it's time to board your bus. Recommended.
