Câmpulung (also spelled Cîmpulung, Romanian pronunciation: [kɨmpuˈluŋɡ], German: Langenau), or Câmpulung Muscel, is a city in the Argeș County, Muntenia, Romania. It is situated among the outlying hills of the Carpathian mountains, at the head of a long well-wooded glen traversed by the Târgului River, a tributary of the Argeș.

Kaffa is very known in Campulung. It's a nice place to eat a good pizza. The thing is that the music is pretty loud, not good if you want to socialize. They opened a lovely Terrace that works during the summer and the atmoshere is much better than inside. The service is ok.

Nice location, in the center of the city, with a Terrace during the summer.
Service and food is fair, but the waitres are not very kind with the cyclists (you have to park your bicycle outside the restaurant).
The price is average/high for the area, but the food is fair.
Suitable for all kind of situations :)
Enjoy!

After spending a weekend in the Mountains at Cuca cabin, we went on our way home with a hunger for good Romanian food. Campulung (Arges county) has many nice views to offer, but not so much regarding open restaurants on a Sunday afternoon. I frantically Googled places and all we could find were closed down restaurants. Finally, we took a turn in some street away from the center, just to find this place: Restaurant Brancovenesc. Located in a regular house, filled with regulars who were having Sunday lunch, this eatery offerred us a lot more than expected. Nice, clean table cloths, decent radio and food you cannot forget. We ordered fries with eggs and cheese and the guys had some pork. Everything was delicious and HUGE. Be careful about ordering any double portions. One of us did and it was clearly too much. Small towns in Romania offer generous food for decent prices and you must remember this whenever you go out of the big cities. Unfortunately, we were too hungry to take pictures with food, while we ate. So I can only show what was left of my dessert (papanasi). The personnel really pays attention to clients and can provide take away in case you exaggerate as I did. If you end up in Campulung not knowing where you want to eat, I strongly recommend Restaurant Brancovenesc for a very satisfactory stop. It surely deserves a review here, as it is one of those gems only locals know about. Now, that I have shared their secret, go and enjoy some authentic Romanian food!

We stoped in Campulung for a quick meal and we were pleasantly surprised by this fancy restaurant on the main street. The food was excellent and the service very friendly. We tried the mutton ( pastrama de oaie), the tripe soup and the chicken, and they were all very well done!
