Büyükada (meaning "Big Island" in Turkish; Greek: Πρίγκηπος or Πρίγκιπος, rendered Prinkipos or Prinkipo; and alternatively Πρίγκηψ or Πρίγκιψ meaning "Prince" or "Foremost") is the largest of the nine so-called Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, with an area of about 2 square miles (5 km). It is officially a neighbourhood in the Adalar (Islands) district of Istanbul Province, Turkey.

I went here in June with my boyfriend. The fish was very well cooked, as were the starters. The staff spoke English and we're very friendly.

We had a lovely dinner at Ali Baba last night. The restaurant is located right by the sea and you therefore have a wonderful view while you are enjoying your food. They have a lot of different choices of fish meals and everything is prepared very freshly. We were shown the fish of our choice before it was prepared for dinner and they also show you a variety of meze beforehand that you can pick out before they are brought to your table. Our meal was wonderful and we liked everything about it. The service is fast and very, very friendly. Definitely worth a visit or more!

We were invited in by the host Ali Temes who was a very polite and welcoming gentleman. Our dinner, perfectly grilled fresh Cupra fish (Dorade) and tomato salad was simply delicious. Ali gave us complimentary tea and Turkish coffee as well as slices of watermelon which was really nice. The prices were very reasonable and the Seating right by the Sea of Marmara was unforgettable! We really enjoyed it.

An extremely elegant small restaurant! With the most tastefull soup and meatballs that i had ever tried. The owner was an excellent host. Only four plates but all of them the best that i had tried all around the Instabul.

A nice restaurant with nice view and friendly staff
Unlike many restaurants in this area they waiters don't try to get you in by annoying you , the restaurant itself will make you want to sit there specially the part overlooking the sea
There is a small garden that looks nice
Food was very good and not at all expensive
I recommend it to everyone and shall surely go there again

Staying at the Splendid Palace Hotel, this bar restaurant is next door. As well as good music from Turkish to Bob Marley, the atmosphere is great, so are the waiters and the food is fresh, well-prepared and varied, from Spag Bol to burgers to classic Turkish. Wine prices are reasonable, as against the rip-offs on the tourist paths. All power to these guys.

I really life the food served in this restaurant. They are the only one which serves vegan/vegetarian food options in the entire Island.

We found ourselves looking for lunch when visiting Buyukada, and picked this place on a whim. Despite the amazing views, food was really mediocre. I opted for the salmon, which was underseasoned, overcooked and wasn't deboned. My partner chose the kofte which were really nothing special.
