We decided to try this classy looking place while we were browsing the Menu outside. The Outdoor setting was inviting but we decided to go inside. We were ushered to our table and handed the Menu which was extensive but being a 'Health Conscious' person, most were/or seemed too rich for my taste. We Finally settled on Kids Menu. I ordered Calamari Fritti (Salt and Pepper Squid with Europa Salad and Chips, My friend, ordered Chargrilled Chicken with Europa Salad and Chips. We had these In Adult Portions. Very well Presented and tasty. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to other locals or Travellers too!

Over the years, it has become an icon to the Glenelg locals. The Strand prides its self on maintaining a high quality and consistent level of hospitality. The Strand welcomes all customer. It is friendly and relaxed, which is evident with the large amount of regular clientele it attracts. A diverse menu offering breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Always wanted to try this restaurant as it always seems busy at the weekends. So today we decided to give it a whirl...
Both girls chose the mixed berry smoothie, which they both agreed it was yummy!!! The 10 year old chose the chicken/avocado wrap. It was huge but she ate it all and said it was really lovely. The 7 year old had the children's salt and pepper squid with chips. Although she ate all the squid she found it very greasy. She said it was yummy and tender. There was a huge plate of fries accompanied with tomato sauce and a wedge of lemon. I have to agree the squid was far to greasy!!! We chose the pepperoni pizza, this started really nicely but the crust got really hard as it sat whilst we ate it. However flavour was nice.
We will return and give some of the other menu items a go. The waitress was really good and friendly.

Impressive Sunday spot,
Multiple oysters, cocktails and beers consumed.
Management was happy to accommodate us by making room at the waterfront bar table, probably the best seat in the house.
I was happy as can be, waterfront, views, yachts, good bar and Restaurant fitout
Overall 4/5 stars venue.
Try the baked oysters, or order every kind

Visited Mediterranean Café Ristorante for breakfast and it was fabulous.
The food was of high quality, fresh and very tasty. The coffee was excellent.
Having a low tolerance to carbs makes ordering food challenging however, this is something I am now used to & don't make a big deal of it. I ordered a Breakfast BLT Roll and just did not eat the bread roll. When the waitress collected my plate, she asked if there was a problem with the roll. I explained that I couldn't eat the bread but the filling was fabulous. She said "next time, just let us know and we'll be happy to give you the filling without the roll"
THAT is what turned this "very good" review into "excellent". The staff are fantastic and accommodating.
We'll be back

Firstly the service was amazing and welcoming. It was my hubbies birthday and being a drizzly Monday, it was quiet on the Marina and we found ourselves at The Wharf and decided to try it because the staff were very friendly and inviting as were looking at the menu. We had a seat right next to water, firstly the view is spectacular and luckily the drizzling rain held out long enough so we didn't need to move tables and the staff kept making sure we were fine sitting where we were as they worried we would get rained on sitting there. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with garlic prawns and hubby had the fish and chips. The food was amazing, hubbies fish was perfectly cooked and his chips were golden brown and chunky and both the fish and chips were piping hot. We have been to pubs before where a semi hot meal was placed on top of cold chips but not at The Wharf, perfection ! My schnitzel was delicious and had a taste to me of a hint of rosemary or a herb in it which was delicious. Now I'm a huge seafood lover and the two things I really appreciated was the fact that the garlic prawns and sauce came in a little bowl on my plate separate to the schnitzel. Again I've had surf n turf where the prawns and garlic sauce are already placed on the schnitzel and by the time it reaches you, the schnitzel is soggy and not pleasant. The second thing was the fact that I had a generous serving of prawns in my bowl. Any other place I've been to for surf n turf has given me hardly any prawns, usually more sauce than prawns, as a seafood lover, I was pleasantly surprised. The flavour of the garlic sauce wasn't overpowering and it was just the right amount of garlic. Now I had a big schnitzel and I usually don't eat big meals but I nearly polished off the whole schnitzel, it was that good. We had a great birthday lunch for my hubby and I can recommend The Wharf to anyone that not only wants a good decent meal but great service. We will definitely return next time we are in Glenelg.

Have been here for breakfast and for happy hour drinks and enjoyed both experiences. The staff are fabulous and both accommodating and friendly – lovely people. There is both indoor and outdoor Seating and since the weather was fine the inside doors were wide open, bringing the outside right into the room. There were several families with kids here for the happy hour and the kids seem to be all enjoying the pizzas, which are excellent. Every table was booked for dinner, and by six pm the diners started to arrive in droves.

We had a family table of 14 adults and everyone was blown away by the fabulous attention we received from Nick and the rest of the staff. The food was fabulous. I cannot rave enough about the Oysters I had, they were simply divine. Everyone had different meals and we were all equally impressed with our choices. Do yourself a favour when in Adelaide and visit this restaurant, it is worth the trip to Glenelg.
