Second time here, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Service again was very good from beginning till end. They served a little appetizer of partridge pate with confiture to start with. then I went for the deer with almond croquettes and winter vegetables such as a little baked apple, red cabbage, sprouts and so on, sweet and bitter very nicely combined! For dessert I took the assortment of home made desserts which included tiramisu, black chocolate mousse, bourbon vanilla ice cream and creme brûlée and some seasonal fruits on the side. very, very tasty. Thumbs up for the chef and the staff, keep up the good work.

Very nice place in the center of Bree, right across from the church. I've had lunch there once which was very good. They also have a walk up ice cream counter which is definately worth a visit. You can get a cone or cup and the ice is really great - very affordable. They are only missing outdoor Seating but, the inside is decorated perfectly. Was there one year around Christmas time and it was absolutely beautiful inside.

Vriendelijk personeel, zeer lekker eten!! Wie graag iets lekkers en toch met een snelle bediening wil eten, ga er gerust langs. Wij hebben er genoten van een zeer lekker stuk kabeljauw dat heel lekker klaargemaakt was.

Pollismolen is a nice restaurant with a modern, cosy sphere, located in a beautifull walking area with several brooks all coming together in the Itter, a small river with several Watermills on it. Also Pollismolen has such a (still active) watermill. Pollismolen has two options: a brasserie (where you can have a drink or eat a brasserie dish) but also a restaurant where you have a beautifull view on the surrounding nature and where food is not 3 Michelin star, but good. They also organize Sunday brunches which can be great (we did several ones)! Pollismolen is certainly worth a try - why not in combination with a walk in the woods (the 6 km walk indicated with a red triangle is a VERY nice one - but do take your walking shoes).

We had booked this hotel with a Vespa tour through Travel Bird.
A smooth check-in.
We got room 001 which is the first room on the ground floor. This room opens onto the courtyard, where is also the Terrace where guests can eat and drink.
This can cause some noise during the late evening.
We had a spacious and well-maintained room with a nice bathroom.
The sleeping area was on the mezzanine (somewhat on the tight side in terms of walking space).
The only downside for us was that someone had been smoking in the room. It smelled clearly of cigarette smoke.
The food is exquisite! They have a creative and well-trained cook. The service in the restaurant could be improved. So we got our appetizer after serving our starter. There is no clear line which tables are controlled by whom (everything goes a bit haywire).
The breakfast buffet was very well attended.
For our Vespa tour, the hotel provided us with a well filled lunch pack.

Wij namen plaats op het terras, dat gezellig warm was die de warmtestralers en na enkele minuten kwam iemand al spontaan met een bakje met water en een stukje spek voor de hond.
Al bij al een zeer positieve ervaring!

If traveling nearby and you need a quick pick me up this is the place to stop. Its all dessert (translation Grandma's Ice). The ice cream flavors are amazing and the portions are very generous! It gets very crowded on summer weekends but well worth waiting a few minutes in line. They do have some indoor Seating which is nice on a day with some light rain. There is outdoor Seating as well and if they had room to expand they could probably fill more tables. Many people simply take away their treats also. Definitely a must have at least once but you'll find yourself wanting more!!

The beef filet I had at Joseph Grill is the best steak I've had in Europe! (I've lived in Europe over seven years.) It was an excellent cut of beef, seasoned and cooked to perfection--it needed no sauce. The entire meal was very satisfying. The salad bar had 5 or 6 types of salad to choose from (the white cabbage was excellent). The steak was served with a bit of rice as well as with delicious Belgian steak fries. Call ahead for a reservation as this is a very popular restaurant with limited Seating. I also loved their leather placemat tooled with the Joseph Grill logo and the unique leather holder for silverware and napkin.
