Have wrote a review under the hotel which is meant for the restaurant
But point is we all felt very unwelcome to a local restaurant and met by staff who showed little interest and we were a hassle to them on an October bank holiday Monday in 2017
Can’t handle working in the hospitality sector? Then get a different job.
Bit of a shame to see staff let down a fine premises

We have been eating at The Phoenix for years. The food is reliable, always tasty and reasonable value for money.

Ginger & Wild Cafe is a relaxing place serving tasty homemade goodies and is located in a fabulous contemporary visitor centre on the Wild Atlantic Way. The fare here is simple and natural with an emphasis on using quality locally-sourced ingredients. You can expect to find soup, panini, savoury tart, organic salad and an assortment of yummy cakes. Homemade is key, along with stunning views and free wifi. Open mid March to end of October.
We arrived in time for morning coffee and my husband couldn’t resist the ginger cake as it looked so good. He wasn't disappointed. After our visit to the park and visitors centre we were ready for lunch. My husband had the homemade soup and I had the panini; both were delicious. The friendly service was very good, and we were struck by the way the family (I think it was) worked so well together. We enjoyed looking at the gallery as well.

It's the only Indian takeaway (Or restaurant for that matter) in 40 miles. Next nearest is in Ballina, a good drive away. Garlic, onion and coriander naan is a delight. I had chicken Madras, probably a bit mild for my tastes, second time I went, I had Chicken Vindaloo, that packed a punch, but I did finish it all. I'm told the Jalfrezi is very good. The menu is quite limited, but Salman says if there's anything you want, just ask and he'll cook it for you, can't say fairer than that

An Builín Blasta is a family run bakery and coffee shop. We sell sandwiches, rolls, paninis, wraps, soup, drinks, bewleys coffee, ice-cream, smoothies and lots more. You can either eat in or take away.
Loved the Builin blasta - just happened on it whilst on a visit to Belmullet. Cakes are baked in a nearby bakery and are the freshest, yummiest cakes I've had in a long long time. Staff were only brilliant - couldn't do enough for us...MoreThank you so much for your lovely comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the builin so much :)

Forget the past, move on, new owner new approach. Only breakfast and afternoon tea tried. Very good. Quantity and quality scored well with lovely helpful staff. Time will tell but on the basis of the visits made will return. Very good value for money.
