I like to visit this restaurant. They have a hut restaurant above Martapura River. From the resto you can see traditional boat accros resto. The taste of soto Banjar is good, sometimes they invite traditional Banjar music group (Malay group etnic) for entertain customer.

Italian name in Banjarmasin is quite rare. No wonder that it belongs to indonesian-italian family. No need to question how Italian it is when it comes from the native hands to handle and Italian tongue to taste. Very recommended, especially those who likes to prepare trip to Italy (so you wont be that homesick) or who miss their pizza when visiting Italy.

This place is famous. I love meatball taste, its delicious. But the soup for meatball, average taste. You can find another menu like sop buntut, soto sulung, or gado-gado (tradional salad with peanut sauce. Price? Little bit above avarage. Unfortunately, this place not large. Sometime crowded with visitor. The room atmosphere quite hot but fun :)

I like steam boiled soup. XO Suki shows U another taste for the soup. U can cook by Urself. The soup have been prepared by 2 choices soup : chicken or tom yam soup, then U just put the beef, seafood, chicken or whatever U like, but please take some vegetables because the seafood expensive. Try one or two, the price higher than other restaurants. For drinks, better choose Chinese Tea, cheaper than other drinks. U can count them with Ur personal cost. Enjoy the meals....

My favourite Chinese Food restaurant I always visit. U can take special birthday menu like Mie Ulang Tahun. Also special menu of Juan Lo Steam Boiled, so delicious, and much more, all in a spectacular taste. U find it in the city center Jl P.Samudera No.23 Banjarmasin, South of Borneo. Try it! The setting beside the river makes this restaurant a unique experience. It has no air conditioning but the view is an experience by it self. The soto is unique for Banjarmasin area, different from other soto across Indonesia. Recommended

What I like the most about the food at Excelso is hpw they combine international cuisines with a local taste. For example, I ordered a bowl of spaghetti bolognaise and I was surprised to find that the bolognaise sauce itself was mixed with lots of garlic and tumeric (I guess). It might sounds weird but it is actually very Delicious IMO.
I've also tried Spicy Tuna Fettucini which is a plate of fettucini mixed with tuna, chilis, and I dont know the spices are but it's quite similar with the spices I usually taste in Ikan Pepes, and it was completed with a slice of lime. Very Indonesian! I love it so much.
The place itself is so cozy, they have indoor and outdoor area an smoking and non-smoking area.
The beverages itself are as good as the foods. What I love the most are green tea bubble, nutelatte and mixed berry.
The price is quite pricy yet it is worth the food, beverages and the comfy place that they provide. And if you've become their membership, you'll get 15% disc for every purchase.
