In a cosy environment directly in the old town, you can choose some excellent meals very well presented by an efficient service team. The beef steak that I tried was really succulent!

Restaurant with great atmosphere and lots of choices on their menu. Food is great, nice staff and a good view over the lake

Chutzpah! The prices are astronomical, they do not have any correlation with the quality of the food, which is mediocre. The waiters have no knowledge of Thai food. They were pleasant enough, but neophytes and clueless about Thai food, nonetheless. One thing must be said: if you get a table by the window on a nice day, the views of the lake and sun setting behind the Alps may help you heal some of the sticker shock. So dear owners, rename this restaurant: Buenavista Restaurant (which serves Thai food)

For many decades the restaurant „Bären“ has been the meeting point for the people of Zug. In the restaurant Bären you can find traditional home – made food. The Entrecôte served on a hot stone» as well as the famous «Cordon Bleu» – offer are the Bären-Classics that you need to try! The Restaurant Bären is full of tradition and one of the oldest restaurants in the city of Zug. It is located in the heart of the new town on the corner of Baarer- and Metallstrasse. Our Host Marlies Widmer and our Head Chef Thomas Janser wish you «En guete!»
This is an excellent, very busy schnitzel house with a good array of cordon bleu. My selection was filled with ham and rachlete cheese - cooked to perfection. My colleague had a delightful steak on a hot stone. The place seemed popular with both locals and expats. Without a doubt, the best meal I had over 3 nights in Zug.

Excellent food, friendly service and not excessively priced (for Switzerland). The tuna steak is a treat, although never had a bad item from the menu. They'll happily do a set menu for groups, and the quality of that is beyond reproach also.

My wife suggested Falken for dinner and it did not disappoint. Fantastic food and excellent service. On the more expensive side even for Switzerland but well worth the money. Will be back for dinner again!

Ate a pork Viennese Schnitzel. Tasted fine and looked like a proper Viennese Schnitzel. Although a Viennese Schitzel is originally veal that has been hammered flat and breaded, the Swiss commonly use pork.
Very friendly and fast service. The waiters were almost running :-) I'll admit they were busy but a bit less hectic would be nice.
Overall - a good experience and I would return.

The small comfortable Restaurant which is led by the owner and his wife personality. We feature: a large selection of Swiss and international dishes, seasonal speciaties, fine wines, a cozy atmosphere where you and your family will feel at home, free on-site parking, an impressive view of greater Zug and the alps! Free W-Lan!
The Restaurant Moosrank is small and offers a great choice of very tasty food of all different kinds. Twice a year they offer special weeks.
From may 10th until June 18th they were celebrating the Australian weeks. You can get many different specialties from Australia like kangaroo meat, ostrich, lamb, crocodile etc.
From November 8th until December 24th they are going to celebrate their American weeks. During this period Wisi & Pia offer American specialties, especially meat.
We ate some Australian dishes and the cooking was excellent. This little restaurant is really worth the price. By the way, also the decoration was just great. We felt back in Australia for a while.
Also the rest of the year the offer is wonderful. I warmly recommend this great little restaurant.

There were two fish options on the menu during my visit to this brewery-restaurant: Beer battered or baked. I went for the beer-battered option. This is not the beer-battered fish we Americans think of; this dish was served as very lightly-breaded perch filets brushed with butter and covered with thin-sliced almonds. Best seafood dish I've had thus-far in Switzerland. A great place to have a beer and dinner with friends (outdoors if the weather is nice like it was on this Sunday evening). One of my friends is vegetarian, and he was happy with the options as well as the dish he was served. Don't forget to tip about 10%+ in Switzerland when the service and food is good; none of the restaurants here thus-far have a 'service fee' line on the receipt like some traveler websites claim. Took me ~28 minutes to drive from Stans to Baar.

Excellent meals and great variety of different Thai foods, always freshly prepared and readily served. I come here regularly and enjoy the hospitality. Small, with only a few tables, just a few foot steps away from Baar Bahnhof. I usually come for the good value all-you-can-eat lunch buffet but evenings are just as nice.
Fairly good prices for that kind of quality in Zug/Baar.
