Excellent Brittany Food right on the seaport of Audierne.
But, better book, because of probably few staff in the kitchen, makes it difficult for the Chef to handle too many customers at the same time (About 10 tables).
As usual in France, the service is not at the top, what matters most is the great food we had several time at l'Iroise.
For those who love Cheese, there is a great choice of +/-50 kinds presented on an impressive bench.
The Wine list is extensive, but not cheap.

We came to Audierne looking for a good seafood restaurant for lunch at a reasonable price. Audierne appeared to have little parking for those, like us, without a Disque Bleue but a last trawl alongside the quay revealed lots of non-blue spaces and 3 restaurants...the first too dear and of the remaining two, one was already busy, one empty...always go for the full one! Glad we did ...it was 12.50 when we arrived and took a table on the covered terrace; within 15 mins the tables were all full. A €15.90 three course lunch offered plenty of choices...quick and easy choices for us both...moules marinieres, followed by fish of the day (a white fish in a delicious creamy sauce, accompanied by rice, vegetables and a little salad), plenty of bread supplied (without having to ask) to soak up the sauce. Pudding for me was a very nice chocolate mousse and, for my husband, the plate of 3 cheeses. It was no problem to note he didn't like chèvre - what he rec'd were 2 lrg chunks of Brie and some mild hard cheese with salad and more bread and butter. Great value, good service and delicious food. Would return if in the area.

This lovely old hotel has a commanding view of the port. It is always a good sign when a Golden Retriever (Aladdin) is on the front steps to greet you. The charming hostess at the front desk continues the welcome. The dining room is quite attractive, with fresh flowers on every table.
Wish we could say everything was perfect for our lunch-but not quite. Our starter and dessert were beautiful and tasty. The main course-fish dish was bland and looked a lot better than it felt on the palate.
A series of handsome young waiters provided some of the service-which was remarkably uncoordinated. If you are going to put our water and wine on a distant table, you are responsible for seeing that our glasses stay full. A major lapse in this regard. Memo to the wait staff: we can pour our own beverages if you are too busy or preoccupied to do it-and in this case we had to!
Secondly, if you weren't taught so in waiter school, you can put your thumb in the indentation in the bottle and pour gracefully with one hand. Leaning the bottle on the glass is not the proper procedure.
Two out of three satisfying courses is not bad-but this is France. The chef can and should do better. And at this price point, we expect it.
With the gracious management, I will assume these were merely temporary lapses and would give them another chance.

Audierne is one of the prettiest harbour towns in Brittany, and you can't get a much more Breton experience than a lunch of crepes right by the fishing port! The owner is delightful, charming and welcoming, the taste combinations will leave you needing to come back to try some of the ones you didn't have room for first time around!

The Creperie An Dol Breizh, in the city center of Audierne, a few kilometers away from the Point du Raz, welcomes you all year long, and proposes you a vast menu of authentic Crêpes(Pancakes) of Buckwheat and Wheat.
I didn't expect much from this restaurant from the outside, but the crepes specialities are very good and everyday they suggest a "daily new" recipe for those who want to come back and have some change. We didn't try anything else than the crepes, except one of us who took some mussels, and they were well-cooked too. The service is correct, without being very fast. They have 3 different kind of good ciders, according to your taste (Kerné, An Tri Breur & Tromelin which is very precious if you enjoy having a good bottle of cider with your crepes! If you go there during July of August evening, you may want to book a table a couple of hours before, just in case.

The service was great and the crepes really good. We went in September so perhaps not as busy as peak season but they couldn't have been more accommodating. The prices were a bit higher that some of the other creperies but the location made up for it. have been before and will go on our next visit.

We've eaten here many times but never quite been able to put a finger on what's missing - it's atmosphere. Food always well prepared and very tasty, fairly wide choice, especially of fish (no surprise), reasonably priced wine list, mouth-watering desserts too. Very busy, mostly always with locals - there's a separate restaurant for guests - but with the exception of the owner/manager the staff seem uninterested and not very attentive. A spot of training wouldn't go amiss. Nevertheless, a damn good lunch!

Covered Terrace and inside dining. The dining room is cozy and unpretentious. Views of the beach and lighthouse. Daily specials, seafood, fish and meat choices. Mussels seem to be their great speciality with many different preparations offered. The service is friendly and the meals very good.

If you are visiting this quaint, & picturesque seaside village,be sure to pop in at this family run little restaurant. Here you'll find only freshly home cooked seafood by the dad of the family & served by the mom & her children.Don't juge this restaurant by its simple decor, but rather take a seat either on the deck outside or near a window to admire the ocean view while you wait for your mouth watering seafood dish.A lovely family place,& I highly recommend their homemade cocktail....delicious.

We discovered this little crepeie when other restaurants were closed & what a surprise we got. Although quite small, the service & food were excellent. The first time I had a Rocqfourt cheese, honey & nut crepe, the second time, Apple, Chantiily cream & Calvados flambé crepe. Both crepes were crisp on the outside, but soft & gooey in the middle. Very, very yummy.
Go and enjoy.
