The only poor choice I made on our itinerary was to book ahead thinking it would be interesting to see something of the coast and eat at a fine restaurant. The restaurant has no sea view ... the wrong side of a major road .. very large and traditional, even stuffy. Madam was much in attendance. Compared with Caldeni and Tragaluz in Barcelona it was more expensive and boring. We shared a whole baked fis, San Pedro, we don't get at home and it was dry.

A good example of catalan cuisine. The restaurant is specialized on sea food since it is a couple steps from the local fish market. You can see the fishermen boats from the window of the restaurant. The fish is the local fish from the catch of the day. It is well prepared and served. There are some catalan specialities in the menu. It is advisable to try those first. If you are chasing an atmosphere but well prepared food it is one of the best places to eat in the district.

Had lunch here, full of families so a good thing we booked. Enchanting waiter and basic country food. The toast and tomatoes that are standard on Spanish tables were accompanied by the most delicious garlic which you ladeled onto your toast was wonderful. The cepes ravioli was delicious and the main courses whilst basic were tasty.
The wine the waiter suggested was delicious, A lovely Sunday lunch in the country.

A very nice restaurant in the port. Sea food is their specialty. The staff was very helpful. The atmosphere was great. You eat in front of the sea next to fishing boats.
Outdoor Seating is possible and very pleasant.
The food was prepared with care and highly recommend for those wishing to eat fresh seafood.

Got there by chance. Located in the Port. Specialized in fish and sea food, although they also have carne. Have to wait some 40 minutes since we had no reservation. All the clients were Spanish, middle age or older which made us to wait. We had one Sopa de Morrisco and one Sopa de Rap. The first one somehow better. Then my spouse ordered Gambas d’Arenys. Huge annimals. Quite expensive but very very testy and sweet. I ordered Rape a la Plancha (Monkfish). A huge plate with a lot of good fish, excellent roasted vegetables and baked potatoes . We finished with homemade Crema Catalan. A special note for the house’s wine, Gandesa, A very old and traditional wine from Valencia, slightly sweet, dense and with a strong perfume. Modern drinkers will probably reject it, but we enjoyed and went very well with fish. Worth o try. Not to forget: Excellent and friendly service. I think they are all a family.

Absolutely delicious! Weird location though. Difficult to find parking when they're busy. No views. Other than that, great food, service and at great value too!
I'd advise making Reservations in advance if it's weekend or eve of holidays. Nice town to go for a stroll before or after the meal. If you're taking a train from Barcelona, it's very near the Cal d'estrac train station. Short walk.
Highly recommended!

Starters and main plates of Maresme menu were excellent, 30€, all included except drinks. Good quality food and perfect cooked. Correct desserts. Young and polite waiters. Retro decoration, very comfortable and spacious. There is a Terrace outside for the summer. The weakness is the location, the restaurant has changed its position to an apartments area and it is not at the town center. We recommend to improve wines menu with non comercial brands. We are going to repeat.

Quality and fresh products. You can eat tapas or main plates, and paella also. French fries are the speciality of the house, home made, really good. The worst is the service. Friendly staff but we were waiting a lot for the menu and for desserts. We did not order coffee because we would still be there. Be patient if you go on Sunday with the restaurant full. It is not cheap.

Wonderful. Delicious. Charming. First you have to find to find this lovely town 55 minutes north of Barcelona. Then you meet the chief and his youthful wife in the center. Then you enter their charming restaurant and know you made a good decision. Charming. Excellent value. Extraordinary value for an American from DC. Why cannot we have this in the States?
