We just has a drink and some snacks here before dinner. Nothing to complain about those or the service.
The restaurant does not have a cosy atmosphere and all the guests voices echo around the place. Food other guests ordered arrives surprisingly quickly. We suspect a lot of convenience ingredients.

de Bosrand is a comfortable, family-run restaurant serving authentic Dutch pannekoeken. We chose from the extensive menu of sweet and savory pannekoeken, sharing in order to sample a wider variety. Service was friendly, menus were available in Dutch, German, and English, and food was served promptly. This restaurant is clearly enjoyed by local families but the warm welcome ensures a visitor won't feel out of place and the delicious pannekoeken will make everyone happy. And the prices are very reasonable, with each pannekoeken averaging around €10.

The food tasted like it had been cooked days ago and was just preheated in the microwave. We ordered a mixed grill and got mostly potatoes. It all tasted the same and very boring. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

The icecremes that my friend and husband had where very good. But I am not an icecreme person so I chose fresh fruit. But the fruit that I got was far from fresh. So it was old fruit and peach came from a can. A shame though because you can still buy just anywhere plenty of fresh fruits.

This lovely bakery is in the town square opposite the Hotel Arcen, they supply goods to many hotels and restaurants in the area. We had some wonderful breakfasts there.
Limburg is famous for its vlaai(pie)! And i love them myself so one of our goals was to find a tasty vlaai. It is a local bakery with a cafe inside. The pastries are definitely tasty!! More than satisfied, was so happy forgot to take a picture :p

This brewpub gets its beer from the Jan Hertog brewery right across the street via a pipe connecting the two buildings...now that's one helluva tap!
The pub is actually more like a large house which has been converted into a cafe and pub. There's a beergarden as well and plenty of space for kids to roam around. The street is not very busy and leads to a small ferry crossing on the river Meuse (Maas).

We had a quick bite here just before our visite to hertog jan. Nice beer from the tap, and tastefull panini's. Friendly young staff, but they did forget to make the panini hawaii without ham. No worries can happen! :). The restaurant self it nicely dressed and good chairs to sit on.

We've had a lovely evening here.
When you arrive, the service is friendly and helpful. You get an entree on the house (bread and aioli with butter in our case). The starters were delicious. Well plated in a modern way. Positively surprised. Portions are good.
For dinner we had a pasta dish and a plate of asparagus. Both were very tasteful, well plated and well portioned. The pasta dish was quite large. My wife couldn't eat it all. The asparagus were in season, and were very well made! I would come back for it here gladly!
We were somewhat let down by choice of table. It was something we should have attended more careful. We were sitting between 'early guests' when we arrived, and after 30 minutes or so we were the only ones left in that room. If you visit, be sure to ask for a table in the back room if possible. Better ambiance, more people (late) and a better view at the lovely garden.
Over all we had a nice dinner. Good price for value I think. Nice service.

Wij hebben hier heerlijk gegeten in De Oude Hoeve.

Wow!! What a lovely setting. We went for a romantic spring lunch and to dine on "asparagus the way they were meant to be served". This was a delightful multi-course prix fixe offering with wine, and every course was well-prepared and presented. Lovely flavors. Our table offered wonderful views of the boats plying the Meuse River. Service was perfect. Find this place on your road trip in the Netherlands!
