Returned to this restaurant after several years & wasn`t disappointed. Small intimate setting & ideal for that special occassion. Food was beautifully presented & cooked. Time was given between courses, so that you didn`t feel rushed whilst having your meal. The waitress was very attentive & provided a great service to us throughout our visit. Will certainly be back again. Well worth giving it a try.

The Old Brewhouse is no longer just a pub and restaurant. We now offer Bed and Breakfast in our 3 beautifully appointed en suite rooms - all with sea views. The rooms are extremely comfortable with TV & dvd, free WiFi, double glazing, king size beds, hostess tray, black out blinds, hair dryer, mains power showers, telephone and private parking.
5* service
My parents came to Arbroath for 2 night stay at the Brewhouse. The staff couldn’t do enough for them. Even defrosted dads car for him early on Monday morning.
The cabin was immaculate, cosy and had there own front door to come and go as the pleased which was great because we could go and spend time with they without going through the main hotel.

Always busy great service very friendly. The menu is fantastic, reasonably priced and for all tastes. Food plentiful and always piping hot. Amazing all day breakfasts. Pity it closes at 4pm as it would make a fortune if it opened till 6 or 7pm but maybe that has been explored by the owners and not been worth it. I have visited a few other restaurants in the area and quite frankly this 'cafe' is the best by far.

My friends and I often pop through to Arbroath for a bite of lunch in The Pende are Cafe. The staff are very friendly and the food is tasty. Would highly recommend this place.

Great location close to town centre. Lovely building, well later out restaurant. We had the full breakfast and it was a great plate full, with toast and free refills of tea or coffee. One of our group had the omelette which was packed with filling and delicious. Great value at less that £25 for 3. Well worth a visit.

Recently visited with my partner whilst visiting Arbroath. Found the restaurant to be very quiet as we were visiting during lunchtime on a weekday. Service was very good and efficient and food was amazing and portion sizes were very generous. Would highly reccomend to anyone looking for simple, tasty, homemade food.

Popped in to try out this long established pub/restaurant (pre 1740). It exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing! So well cooked and using locally sourced ingredients. Service was swift, efficient and really friendly. I am only disappointed that we have t tried this place out before. The place is really clean although some of the decor is a bit dated. The attention to detail is superb - deodorant, hair spray, pads etc in the loos. We had pre dinner drinks, bottle of wine and 2 three course meals for just over £70 - bargain! Highly recommended.

The food and service were OK - but in terms of the atmosphere I felt that the proprietor would have been happier if we had not stayed so late - I believe we left around 09:30 after a remark was make about her hoping to get to Tesco before it closed at 10:00. Considering that we paid just under £300.00 for our meal I did not take kindly to being regarded as an inconvenience - I would not elect to go back.
