If you find yourself in Antigua come visit this restaurant for Sunday brunch. Service is outstanding, we always had someone next to us asking if we were ok. When you come in ask to be seated “outside” by the main hall, you will find yourself surrounded by hanging orchids which grow naturally in this weather...! I suggest to make a reservation so you don’t have to wait to be seated. There are certainly crowds to be battled to get to the very large buffet. You will be pleased with the experience.

Stopped here for lunch with a work colleague during a day of sight-seeing. Lucky for us it was empty, so no competition from other tables.
Alfredo, our waiter, was polite and attentive. Helpful when necessary, but never overbearing.
We had the garlic calamari and grilled onions for appetizers. Note - the onions are green onions, sorta the mini-leek kind of things. Both were delicious, and very generous portions. The calamari could easily be shared between 2-4 people, and likewise for the onions. We also ordered a side of garlic bread.
We shared one entree for the main course, a steak with beans, guacamole, and rice. We ordered medium-rare, it was closer (in my opinion) to rare, but still very flavorful and very good.
No dessert; I had a glass of rum, which was very nice. Antorchas has a good selection.
Overall we had 2 beers, 1 bottle (.5 liter) sparkling water, 2 appetizers, 1 main course, and a glass of rum. I believe the overall total was in the $55.00 range.
Would definitely visit again! Hankmeister recommended.

Open for lunch and dinner. Perfect for couples, small groups and special occasions. Cozy ambiance, great music and incredible food. .
I had the duck which was exquisitely prepared, tasty, and accompanied by yummy roasted red grapes. My husband enjoyed the very filling lovely beef Bourgogne. Warm French bread is served. Generous size glasses of wine. An excellent place to eat. Highly recommend this restaurant.

With a group of 9. We all had steak which just melted in our mouth. A good selection of wines were available at reasonable prices. Lovely open eating environment and attentive staff and manager.

Mesón Panza Verde is well known for its fine cuisine and romantic ambiance. Dine in our elegant Main Sala with vaulted ceiling, amid fine wines and original paintings. Its reputation for "International Cuisine with a Twist" has made it a favorite for Guatemalans and international travelers alike. If you prefer, you can choose to be served on the corridor surrounding the main garden, on the Terrace in romantic candle filled setting for two in the Cupula or in La Cueva, where live music is performed on certain nights of the week. Our menu of classic dishes from around the world are carefully chosen and supervised by our cooking team, led by Head Chef Noé Sicán and Sous-Chefs Allan Ruiz and Jorge Tacs. Our food has achieved critical acclaim. Mesón Panza Verde is considered to be one of the top restaurants in Guatemala, having received the “Tenedor de Oro” award as best in the country.
This restaurant is superb.

We selected this restaurant and had high expectations due to its #1 rating on TripAdvisor, its farm-to-table philosophy and its support of education through its foundation. We emailed for Reservations and received nice responses from Lizeth confirming a patio table. Arrived and were warmly greeted...MoreDan, I reviewed your comments, thank you for stopping by to dining with us. We look forward to your next visit not just here but in our beautiful Guatemala as well. Have a great day!

Toko Baru was founded in 2008. The menu is quite eclectic and can be described as pan-Asian and mid eastern. Toko Baru strives to serve a great quality meal for a fair price. Toko Baru has become a staple among locals as well as the expat and traveler community in Antigua. All food is prepared locally and Toko Baru prides itself on some very tasty meals like the Shoarma Kebab- The choice of how to eat the meal lies with the customer- the options are: in a Pita Bread- in a wheat tortilla (as a burrito) or on a plate with Rice. All meals are served with our sauces- a yogurt garlic based sauce, a fruity sauce – and a very hot version of a Sambal sauce (made out of local chilies).
This place was recommended by a friend who has lived in Guatemala for 30+ years as a “must stop” in Antigua for fantastic food at reasonable prices. Plus, it was mentioned in a food blogger’s “Top 10 Antigua Food Spots” and ,ow, I know why.
Menu is great, lots of options. Everything we ordered — the spring roll, chicken tikka masala and pork tico loom were delicious. Beer selection was impressive too. We also heard the fish-n-chips are not to be missed and we believe it.
If you are in the mood for an unpretentious dining experience of delicious food/generous servings, GO HERE. It’s a no brainer.

Guatemala does not seem like the place to get sweet or savory crepes but this beautiful restaurant has both! And they are delicious.
Had the cheese, ham and caramelized onion crepe with a margarita- awesome choice!
Have also had most of the salads and they are fresh, large and full of ingredients. Great value. Very picturesque roof top venue which fills up fast. Worth standing in line in the evening as the food is fresh and high quality. The line streams past the crepe makers making your mouth water.

It's hard to describe the quaint charm and unexpected humor embedded in Y Tu Pina Tambien that makes it such a wonderful and comfortable place to spend a morning or afternoon. A menu full of delicious brunch foods, organic salads, homemade sandwiches, great coffee, Mezcal cocktails, unique liquados, advil (on the house!) and more. It's a great place to cure your hangover, study spanish, catch up on emails, listen to great music, and last but not least make a new friend. The place attracts a great, eclectic local crowd and if you stop by you're bound to find yourself becoming part of the Pina family.
Take a page out of H. Miller’s “Quiet Days In Clichy,” such is the neighborhood not unlike that of the author’s 1930’s Paris huant, add a touch of the rough edged decor of a Beat cafe ( there is even a quote from Kerouac’s “On Tne Road” and photos of a very young Parisian Hemingway and the martyred Spanish poet Lorca and that of, I believe, the hippie era’s novelist icon, Ken Kesey, all pinned to an antique door ) and you have a sense of Cafe Y Tu Pina Tambien, itself a play on the infamous Mexican bildungsroman film of similar import. The cookies are delicious homemade concoctions and the fruit drinks, legal and illegal, woild meet both Kerouac’s and Kesey’s specifications. Come, hangout and connect with the present era’s latest vibe and onda.

We are a place where friends are always welcome. It's small so you can feel the art and the good vibes filling your trip with interesting stories from strangers that by the time you are leaving have become friends. Come and start your night enjoying a delicious dinner with a nice cold beer or a glass of wine.
OMGeeee, this time place was outstanding! This is a very small and out of the way restaurant, but so worth it. The steak with wine sauce was phenomenal-wanted to lick the plate clean! The sangria was refreshing with delightful fruits and the ambiance was quirky and fun.
The server was so friendly and definitely made the evening even more special!
