Parking inadequate, staff did not help. Food consists of only strange preparations made from local fish and vegetables - fish skin, tiny fish with bones left in, pine-needle-flavored water, raw crevettes, half-cooked fish flavored with chicken, inedible herbal combinations from "their garden". Only the cheese and desserts were adequate. This restaurant has a two-star Michelin rating, but that is a substantial error by the Red Guide. My wife and I have large experience with many starred French restaurants, and this was by far the worst we have had in years. I strongly suggest avoiding this place.

Settled since 1997, Sophie and Patrice CAVORET knew how to make of this place a well known greedy place of the Annéciens. Proud of their experience in gourmet restaurants, they knew how to adapt this knowledge to their atmosphere "Bistro". Sophie welcomes with happiness and smile and will know how to satisfy the amateurs of wines. To be of use to you a cooking of season in fresh products selected with the biggest care, the carte is 4 times changed a year. You will find a colored, flavourful cooking there, in the right cookings. In lunch, a menu of today's special (entrance, fish or meat and choice of dessert) is proposed to you. In dinner, a menu "Return of Market" various every day and a different "Menu-Carte" at every season.
We had a superb meal at Le Bistro du Rhone last evening, beginning with the warm greeting by the owner, Sophie. While awaiting our first course, were treated to amuses bouches , first a rillette de porc, followed by a salmon tartare. Our shrimp tempura...MoreThank you so much for this so kind review ! All our team had a real pleasure to welcoming you ! We are waiting for the pleasure to see you again at LE BISTRO DU RHONE !

For our anniversary, I invited my wife to this place we discovered 10 years ago. We could feel the evolution but the kindness and the quality of food was still excellent. The carte is renewed on monthly basis with seasonal availabilities. Atmosphere is really nice et dishes are original with a good balance in the different flavors. There is also nice choice of wines to be selected by the bottle or glass.
Not much more to say than it is a good gastronomic place.

This is quite near the entrance to the Col Des Contrabandiers, there are also some businesses nearby; otherwise this place is pretty much an out of the way, curiosity. Good service, not particularly friendly- but then again I was with a pretty tough group of Americans, so your experience may differ! Good, hearty local cuisine served here. Quite a few choices on the menu: good wine, desserts, etc. Good place for business, I would say.

We just loved this restaurant!!
We had the menu where the chef cooks what he wants for you - simply each course was a delight! They were nice enough to substitute the meat course for me with fish, but my husband had the meat. We both enjoyed every thing that was served - the food is innovative, beautiful and oh so delicious!!
I don't want to show off but we have eaten in some of the top restaurants in Europe, and further afield, and just when you think there is nothing new that is going to come along now this restaurant is a revelation! I even went into the kitchen to meet the charming chef to tell him how much we enjoyed our supper!
If you go to Annercy then eat here - I don't know how anyone could be disappointed. Book early as it is a tiny place. Can't wait to go back.

Emperor's New Clothes is what springs to mind. This place looks lovely, has some very enticing looking produce in it's small store, but sadly, the cooking is woeful. Dry and uninspiring aranchini, utterly flavourless courgette flowers, uneventful asparagus - and that was just for starters. The mains were far worse. Rack of lamb that was considerably more fat than meat and an osso bucco that was an hour off being soft and delicious (although I fear that the quality of the meat was not sufficiently high that it would ever reach that nirvana) with a very pedestrian pappardelle pasta. The only redeeming feature (aside from the setting) was the service, which was very lovely, but entirely misguided, as I think they believed that what they were producing was good. And to think that run a cookery school too - scary!

Character burgers for gourmets ! TASTE FIRST ! French prime meat, sauces and fried house, artisan bread, THE DUKE makes gourmets burgers! The idea is to eat fast, but take the time to have fun, entertain our taste buds with homemade, healthy, and quality! A STEAK, NOT A SOLE! Our steak meat limousine weighs 140g. Both say that this is a real meal and you will not go hungry just leaving home! TAILOR COOKING! At THE DUKE, we do not impose your cooking! It's your choice: bleeding, rosé, or well cooked, it suits your tastes and not the opposite.
We went for some burgers in Annecy after a long day photoshooting. We tasted almost every burger in the list, really well cooked, juicy and smooth. The matching between ingredients are lovely and service is fast and caring. Reasonable prices for a very expensive city like Annecy.

Restaurant Une Autre Histoire is open for Tuesday diner and from Wensday to Saturday for lunch and diner. Thanks
Set menu as it was a busy weekend so no choice for vegetarians and haters of foie gras but a main of delicious sea bream made up for this! The dessert was nice and the restaurant kindly added a birthday twist for my daughter turning 7 that day!
The ambience was quiet and relaxed and the staff were not overly warm but polite.

Located at one of the most picturesque streets of the city overlooked by the old castle, under the characteristic arcades of Annecy, you find one of the most ancient ice cream manufacturers of the village, "CHEZ POUSTACHE". Come and taste the unique flavors of our on-site produced ice cream or sorbet and enjoy a tasteful moment far from the hectic lake side. Our team welcomes you from mid February 'til mid November.
Poustache's icecream is handmade and many flavours (ca. 20) are always available. Special flavours vary according to the season or public favorites. I have already tried violet, lavande, speculoos, tiramissu, vanilla and chocolate. All flavours were awesome and icecream is well prepared.

This is a café with a casual, hip vibe run by three friends, one of whom was taking all orders and serving tables the night we visited for dinner. He was a very friendly host, taking time to speak to every guest, and very passionate about their food. We ordered a vegetarian burger with a soya patty and sprouts (lip-smacking gravy sauce), with a portion of potato fries. The portion was large, freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Annecy is a one of the friendliest towns in France, and L’Heure Tourne a great ambassador of its congenial hospitality, apart from offering modestly priced, delicious fare.
