We had a wonderful sunday-lunch at the Seelust - the second for me this year. The seasoning of the sauces is excellent and the meat as well as the fish is prepared in an excellent way. Nice salades and desserts and a very good selection of wine. The somelier, Mr. Klarer, recommended us the perfect wine for our lunch consisting of meat and fish.
To eat outside in the garden under the trees is just marvelous. Very friendly and well trained staff!

After having started all flights at around 13.30h we enjoyed a terrific lunch with great hospitality. The head of service is very much in charge and gurantees outstanding service. We enjoyed tartar and a schnitzel - all just delicious ;)

Wieder haben wir den Muttertag im Löwen verbracht. Die Speisekarte ist noch vielseitiger geworden, die Speisen frisch und munden delikat. Der Service aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Eine Perle der gesunden Ernährung mit Spargel, Fleisch, Fisch, Suppe einfach alles. Die Desserts sind sehr fein und frisch, Rhabarber-Tiramisu und warmer Schokokuchen. Uns und unseren Müttern gefällts sehr gut, den Kindern auch!

Wir waren zu acht dort. Wir entschieden uns ins restaurant zu gehen, statt unten bei der bowlingbahn zu essen. Im unteren stock, also bei den loung sitzen, auf der karte standen burger. Im restaurant wollten wir dann burger bestellen. Erstens: dieser herr hat uns kaum begrüsst oder angeschaut. Zweitens: erst als wir ihn darauf hingewiesen haben, dass wir durstig sind und bestellen möchten, nahm er die bestellung entgegen. Drittens: als wir burger bestellen wollten, hat er uns absolut unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass es hier oben keine burger gäbe, nur unten. Somit mussten wir ihn darauf hinweisen, dass wir gerne die karte hätten um uns anders zu entscheiden. In der zwischenzeit waren unsere getränke leer und er absolut nicht daran interessiert, uns was neues anzubieten. Wir haben tortzdem zu essen bestellt, aber waren kurz davor, aufzustehen und zugehen. Es kamen nur schnippische antworten und ich bekam das gefühl, mich entschuldigen zu müssen, dass ich in diesem restaurant essen gekommen bin. Ich fand es eine bodenlose frechheit, einen solchen umgang mit zahlenden gästen zu haben. Jetzt ist mir auch klar, weshalb dieses restaurant kaum besucht war. Da ist es wurscht, wie gur das essen ist.

The Römerhof is located in the old part of Arbon town and the restaurant is simply but nicely decorated with clean, white rooms. The menu offers a selection of dishes including food reflecting the chef’s Mauritius heritage. All of the dishes were exquisitely presented; it was almost a shame to eat them. The food was also of very good quality.
The reason I didn’t award five stars is that the prices are quite high and somehow all of us felt that despite the quality of the food, it was too much to spend for a dinner. This is not to fault the service nor the cook – both were very friendly – but the total dining experience fell somewhat short of our expectations, considering the prices.

Thanks to the Swiss "Gilde Gourmet" guide I discovered this lovely house in Hagenwil - a tiny village in the countryside, close to Amriswil. The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated, boasting a relaxed atmosphere.
A huge thumbs-up to Melanie for her very smiling, attentive and efficient service during the whole lunch.
As I visited mid-October the menu included several venison dishes. As starter I chose the homemade venison ravioli, they proved very tasty. The main course was "Variation von Wild" - a sample of venison meat served with delicious gnocchi: deer stew, grilled wild boar, panko-coated roe deer schnitzel. Once again tasty and generous portion. I indulged in a chestnut parfait for dessert, served with a flavourful pear and vanilla compote.
Swiss price level is unfortunately quite expensive and Schloss Hagenwil is no exception. The bill amounted to CHF92, however the good food and excellent service are well worth it

Kebab und ein Getränk für 11.50.-, ein gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

When you're in such a small town like Romanshorn you thank god there are places like this for a good quality domestic meal. Rösti is great as well as fish from the lake across the street, fresh. Steaks are a bit pricey but sure delicious, they got great beer and good service. For sure we'll come here again.

Had dinner after a long flight and drive down from Munich.
The views are wonderful with the restaurant right on the waters edge.
We sat inside which was very comfortable.
The menu includes a number of local specialities plus a broader variety. We went for more the local specialities and were not disappointed in terms of food quality or size or servings which were very generous.
The service was very good and warm and friendly.
The view is wonderful and well worth a visit.
