AMASEIA (AMASYA) KITCHEN While our kitchen was an old mansion built on the ramparts of the Amasya Castle at the coast of the Yesilirmak river, it was restored and launched to act under the name Amasya Kitchen in 2004. We welcome you as our valuable customer best in our history-spelling space in Amasya having a history 7500 years and present our unique meal flavors to you as our valuable customer.
Situated on the banks of the Green River in an old building filled with old pieces of furniture and period items this restaurant had great views over the river from the windows. We enjoyed our meal however you would have to be careful to chose a meal to suit your tastes as I do not like a lot of Turkish food myself. The meal was inexpensive and the waiters were very attentive.

In a very nice location, not far away from Amasya, in Merzifon, they are serving kebaps. Especially "topuz kebap" is interesting. They heat a mace (chained from the top into a stand) which has spikes on it and after it is heated totally they hang meat (red and white) on the spikes. When it is served the meat is still cooking. They have other tasty dishes sweets.

We arrived just in time to watch the sunset from the top floor of Yamac. This place is obviously a work of love by the owners, who spent 10 years planning it. Many of the dishes are traditional recipes from their village close to Amasya.
The top floor has a beautiful balcony where you can sit and view the castle and tombs from. It also has a library and gives you the feeling of being in your own very comfortable living room. There are many books in the library about the history of the area, albeit in Turkish. The owners are also very knowledgeable about the area. All of the pastries are made at Yamac with care given to fresh ingredients free of preservatives.
The vegetables used in the cooking are prepared from the summer to ensure a fresh supply throughout the winter. After eating dinner in the restaurant we returned to this floor to enjoy our tea, served in a semaver.
There is also a children's play area for families with children.
The restaurant serves both traditional dishes from the region, meat dishes, salads and finger food.
All in all, great view, and even better food. Without a car, you could hike up from town in about 20 minutes.

We came to this hotel's restaurant to eat after our tour and we were so hungry, the food was great!
We ordered Iskender and it was really tasty and the prices aren't too high, the service was awesome and the place is in a very good location.
If you want to try delicious Turkish food come here.
After another long walk through the city we came back for a dessert and we ordered a waffle, it took some time to bring them to our table but the wait worth it since they were delicious and good looking!

Our best choice for dinner. Delicious food, affordable and a very good service. I can recommend everyone this place. we had several "pide", but I heard that their meat is also very good. I'll certainly come back! It's very in the Centre of the City.

If you visit Amasya, this place is a must visit place. You should definitely try the delicious special cakes and cookies this old bakery makes.

A good meal jn a riverside restaurant. We were not massively hungry so the restaurant willingly served us with 1/2 portions of the great local ravioli. The staff helped us improve our pretty ropy Turkish. would recommend.
