Åkersberga Växtförsaljning is not only the restaurant, it is a special place. I don't know how to call it in English, it's a very reasonable Swedish combination of a shop and a restaurant. First of all, they are selling plants. Some people come here to buy a tiny pot of pelargonium... Or a huge apple tree. Or a garden Fountain. Others come to buy ceramics or some other gifts, for example, mustard. Or lamps. Or jam... Never know, really. Sometimes they have special events (like Lucia day in December) and markets. Those who come to have a cup of coffee, may do it in the company of plants, flowers, Fountains and other nice things, right in the shop. I like how the designers worked with the light inside: everything looks magic, it feels like Christmas in winter, like green sunny day in the autumn darkness and so on. It helps to relax and feel better. The cakes and cookies taste like homemade and are served on the nice ceramic plates. My Belgian friend still remembers their hot chocolate with lots of cream on top :) But a cup of coffee in the romantic surroundings is not the only thing worth trying. The lunches are quite good, especially the bread, very unusual taste. In à la carte menu I enjoyed shrimp salad: amount of shrimps was so enormous that I even wasn't sorry to share it with the other members of the family :)

Har varit där på både lunch och middag. En liten mysig restaurang som verkligen inte ser mycket för världen ut på utsidan, men blir bra mottagen med god service och mat till humana priser i god miljö. Allt med en strålande utsikt över farleden utanför fönstret.

Klappbryggan seems to be a hidden gem in a quiet suburb in Stockholm. My brother just moved to the area and has dined here three times all ready, so My dining experience here is thanks to his recommendations. He did suggest their hamburger, but unfortunately they were out. Their lunch menus are very cheap, for just under 100sek I got my meal, a salad, freshly baked bread, and coffee and cookies. Fun fact... Each day has a pre made daily menu option. My options were chicken or fish, just like an airline :) I decided on the chicken. The dish was called a "flying Jacob" chicken on rice in curry sauce, bacon, and bananas. But today was no day for monkey business, so I ordered mine with out the bananas (just like Burger King, the restaurant let's you have it your way) The food came out very fast, the chicken was juicer than expected, actually it was very moist. The yellow curry sauce was a delight that was soaked up by the rice, and the bits and pieces of bacon in the mix blended up nice. Not a bad dish for a pre cooked lunch menu, we all almost licked our plates. As far as the staff and the restaurant in general, I must say that the staff was super friendly and there was no lack or delay in service. The restaurant it self was clean and well decorated. Only one bathroom though, but it too was very clean. I would like to visit again, if time permits, and tackle the chefs interpretation of the classic hamburger. By the way, an interesting observation.... As the restaurant was empty at about 2:30pm, the employees all sat at a table and had lunch together with their manager. Even the chef was allotted a brief lunch brake outside in the sun with his well prepared meal. I felt that it gave the restaurant a family touch and a feeling of cohesiveness, it seems as if they treat their employees very well. I give it 4 stars since they ran out of stock and could not serve up my original request of a hamburger ;)

Not much to say really... It's standard Swedish Chinese food.
You'll recognize the food and environment from and Chinese restaurant in Sweden. Not bad, just not very genuine.
the kids liked the food, I stopped being hungry and a cold beer is always good in the middle of the Christmas rush.

Great home-style cooking. Very nice service. Sitting on the newly built terrasse and enjoying the sight of cruise-ships passing by - it's a treat!

Domarudden is an OK countryside place just outside of Åkersberga, you can take a swim, let your kids play and even rent a small cottage. They have a nice sauna and possibilities to fish planted trout in the small lake.
If you're in for a run you've got plenty of choices in beautiful surroundings.

This place just opened in January last weekend I finally went in to check it out and placed an order. Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic!! Immediately brought me memories of the better sushi places I had while I lived in Miami. Crazy to know that this little place ( not big at all, it has maybe 8 tables ) in this little area would have such great sushi. Not only is it fresh and amazing tasting but they are all works of art -which means that it will take a few minutes to get your food- really amazing. It is so good that is worth driving from anywhere in the Stockholm area.
