Between Mountains and desertLa Fibule D'Or is a Guest house & Cafe restaurant that will appeal to lovers of silence and authenticity.Located at Ait Ben Haddou (20 km from Ouarzazate airport), this Guest house with its location around a pleasant landscape offers a better view of the Ksar.Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou is a type of traditional pre-Saharan habitat. The houses crowd together within the defensive walls, reinforced by corner towers. Ait Ben Haddou is a striking example of the architecture of traditional southern Morocco. Here all a story, a whole culture ... Come to us for an unforgettable stay.
While the tour busses drop you of at an average looking restaurant which charges 'tourist prices', we went for a walk and found this nice and quiet spot with excellent views on the Kashbah. We were welcomed by a very kind man who appeared to be a great cook as well! Definitely try the lemon chicken and the Galion omelet! I bet the guesthouse is good too, but unfortunately we didn't have the time to check this out.

Traveling during very low season - very quiet! Was concerned food wouldn't be fresh or as good as if it was a full restaurant at high season. But this place surpassed every expectation! Delicious lamb and vegetable tagine, vegetable couscous and a Moroccan omelette - all absolutely fresh.
Cute and comfortable place, very friendly owner who chatted for a while too. Offered us some free watermelon and melon to finish off a perfect meal.
Definitely recommended.

This restaurant is situated in a hotel with nthe same name, and serves typical Berber dishes, but of avarage quality and quantity. The service seem to be indifferent.

We visited the restaurant during our stay in Ait Ben Haddou. The owner- Mohamed is very nice, interesting and friendly person! We had nice conversations with him. Restaurant offered set menu for affordable price. The starter: fried aubergine was fantastic: great texture, no trace of bitterness. Perfect! The main: tagine with figs and dates was so good that words can't express that. It was the best meat I had in Morocco. The portion was good size, so I almost couldn’t finish the desert: apple pie was light and delicious… What is also nice, they serve wine and beer, what after many alcohol-free days in south Morocco was a welcome change ;)
Mahomed is very nice host, we enjoyed talking to him. He knows a lot about the area and recommended us some interesting walks. To summarize, I highly recommend visiting this place to enjoy great food, drinks and company of the owner!

The only place open on the day we were there or we never would have fallen for this. The rows of tour busses outside should be enough of a warning. Prices are high and food is mediocre and in the heat of summer they didn’t have any air-conditioning going. There are flies everywhere inside. If something else is open try that rather!

We stopped in while taking a tour- there was a tripadvisor sticker in the window, turns out that was for this properties hotel not this restaurant. The quality of the food is average if that. The mint tea was the worst we have had in 10 days in Morocco. Service was only OK. The chicken tangine was VERY dried out and the veggies were far too overcooked (mushy). I would not go back here, surely there is better in this town.

Yummy tangines with moroccan flavour. Spoilt for choice. Best to ask the staff for choices on the menu. I cant do too spicey. Heaps of options, tangines I liked the best. Hint: ask the staff for best options off menu

Enjoy delicious Moroccan cuisine and beverages while overlooking the best view of the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou
The Auberge Azaddou Tamlalt is located directly at the foot of the bridge that crosses over into the old town of Ait Benhaddou. We dined on the Terrace, which offers incredible views of the old town. It was windy, so we selected a table near a wall that partially blocked the wind.
The restaurants garners great reviews on Trip Advisor, but we were rather unimpressed. The food was merely average with little seasoning. My wife had cousous with chicken and veggies, while I had a chicken tajine. The food was plentiful and amazingly inexpensive. The entire meal, which included bread and soft drinks, cost $11.
We were the only people dining here, which felt a bit strange. The server (I think he was the owner) was very attentive.

We had lunch here before visiting Ait Ben Haddou (as part of our multiple day trip). 5 set standard.t lunches, 100 dirham each. The place is run very efficient. Lunch was good. During lunchtime fully booked with tourists on one day or multiple day trips.
