This is definitely a place to be recommended and very nice in general. Nevertheless, there are better Italian restaurants in Villach.
For us, they put a bit too much of garlic in their seafood. Also we prefer smaller and thinner calamari (grilled) as they can be cooked better.

We were there during December for a dinner and made a reservation to get a good place near the big windows where you have sensational view on the lake (Ossiacher See)
During summer it must be wonderful to sit outside on the Terrace (view and atmosphere)
The portions were quite big, very tasty and the price was on an average level which we considered as good ratio between quality and price.

The young lady who served us was very kind and professional, in spite the fact that we were just asking for kids menu for our daughter. Beautiful view from the winter-garden.Thank you for your excellent Rating. We are very glad! We are happy about a recommendation!! Family Hasler and Team

Trattlers Einkehr is a Chalet-Restaurant in the valley of Bad Kleinkirchheim offering an authentic Austrian atmosphere. The weekly programme includes live-music, barbeques, torch-light-walks and wine tastings. You can also book the chalet with a horse carriage or horse sleigh. Its cuisine is mainly Austrian using only regional produce from Carinthia and Austria. Specialties are dry-aged beef from Austrian beef, Carinthian pasta dishes and sweet-water fish from the nearby pond (trouts). For comfort food there is also a good Pizza offering. The place is also perfect for small groups and special occassions. Health & Spirit. Trattlers Hofteam
The food was great, but the service was quite slow. There was live entertainment and was very family friendly. Traditional and I would recommend it.

Since my grandparents used to live in the next village, my family and I have often eaten at Gegendtaler Hof throughout the years. Recently, we had lunch there and I decided to write a review as the region is popular by tourists who come for the lakes and ski resorts nearby. I had the "Bauern Burger" (Farmer's Burger), a huge portion for a moderate price. In fact, quite a few main dishes are less than 10 EUR and are always good quality and nicely prepared. Admittedly, it is your typical Austrian rural restaurant, so don't expect either haute cuisine or fancy decor, but the owners always try to offer both regional and seasonal fare, which I appreciate. Services is friendly and quick, and there is a play area for children both inside and outside. In summer, you can dine in the garden as well, although I personally don't find that area very inviting. All in all, Gegendtalerhof is definitely one of the best places to eat in the area.

It is situated in the same street as Die Post hotel in Dorfstrasse, few dosen meters further from the hotel. Friendly staff, warm welcome, great "gern cnödel" with poppy seeds and vanila cream. Nice choice of daily meals and sweets. 50 mtr from Kaiserburgbahn ski lift and village spa and swiming pool. Recomandation.

The authentic farmer's parlour "Loystubn" has received an international award for its outstanding cuisine and welcomes you in rustic-homely and stylish ambience. Spend a romantic evening dining with your partner or celebrate with your colleagues! Embark on a journey through the varied secrets of Austrian cuisine! The outstanding culinary offering at the "Loy-Stubn" restaurant is only exceeded by the attentive service of the staff, the unique atmosphere and the romantic traditional ambience. A special tip from the Pulverer family: Ask for a good wine from the richly-stocked wine cellar of Hotel Pulverer. Freshly prepared delicacies from this sophisticated cuisine are enjoyed twice as much with the right drop of wine to accompany your food.
We had hoped to stay at this hotel, but rooms weren't available. Had read about the restaurant and made lunch restaurants as we were going through Bad Kleinkirchheim on our way to Worthersee. The ambiance in the 400-year old bulding was lovely with white tableclothes, candles at every table, and the very kind, lovely waitress in traditional costume. The food was beautifully presented - the special "dumplings" stuffed with onion, potato and quark in a brown butter sauce were unusual and tasty, but a bit too rich for a full meal. My husband had the most delicious wienerschnitzel of our 6-weeks in Europe. Flaky, light crust and tender, flavorful meat. There was nothing we could find fault with. A pleasure we hope to enjoy again one day.

We had one dinner here our first night in Afritz.
The restaurant is clean and typical; basic dishes well prepared. English was not spoken nor the menus were in other languages other than German.
Food was good and portions generous.
Yes I would be back if passing again in Afritz.
