Deciding to stay in our apartments we ordered a take away from Sergio's to be delivered at 8.30pm after 3 phone calls each promising the meal was on the way it finally arrived at 9.15pm
which was very disappointing. delicious pizza and salad but let down badly by poor service

We Are Open From 1985. Family Busines With Local Specialite Meals. Once In Week With Live Music. You Can Enjoy Our Place For Your Special Events ( Wedding - Birhday - Unniversary ) Will Be Glad To Help You.
We ate dinner here on the final night of our holiday - and what a way to spend it!
It was the only place we ate that we were able to have an 'Afandou Special'. It was amazing to be able to eat a staple of the people who live locally to where you are visiting. I won't spoil the surprise but it was very tasty.
The portion sizes were more than generous, and despite not having had a starter I could barely finish my main! When the waiter cleared our plates, he also brought over a small plate of fresh fruit which was lovely to enjoy leisurely after a big meal.
The waiter himself was a character, he spoke exceptionally good English and was full of stories to tell, wigs to wear (yes wigs..!) and ways to get everyone involved if they wished, yet not be left out if they didn't.
I have seen other reviews which commented there was live music during the week, it was later in the evening on a Friday that we ate and there was no music then, but I can imagine it would have been brilliant with live music too!

Family run restaurant with pure Greek cuisine and traditional flavours.Fresh ingredients from the area are used in our recipes!Taste Greece in your holidays!
We went here regularly as the food is all home cooked by the wife whilst the husband Pietre (Peter) acts as Maitre D and server. Atmosphere very relaxed, in a rustic environment offering excellent value for money. Fresh Fish available daily and the home made beef burgers a must try. The swordfish is highly recommended by my husband whilst I loved the Old House Chicken very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our casual evenings there and the service was very attentive.

I ate lunch here with my husband whilst staying in the area. The food was very fresh and hot and the service was quick and friendly. We both really enjoyed our meal here and would happily recommend it to anyone and would definitely eat here again. The gyro was probably the best I ate all holiday (and I only say probably as it's tough competition!!) but the tzatziki was definitely the best!
It is in the quieter end of Afandou so offers a calmer experience than the busier restaurants closer to the centre, which is perfect to enjoy a more peaceful meal in a very welcoming restaurant that certainly has a family feel.

We had dinner several times at Katholiki during our holiday in Rhodes.
The place is exactly what you expect from a traditional Greek Taverna: nice garden, familiar atmosphere, background Greek music, small playground for kids.
The menù is simple: mainly Greek specialties and grilled meat (this is not a fish restaurant).
Very good choice of starters.
Everything was homemade and tasted delicious.
Service is very kind and quick.
Highly reccomended!

This bar / restaurant is in the main square of Afandou and I visited several times during my two week holiday for a red wine or a beer. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. I was readily given the wifi password and on return journeys was again asked if I needed the password (my phone had already saved it!). Great place to enjoy a relaxing break from wandering around this small town and of course, to people-watch. Sorry, I didn't try the food but other guests seemed to be enjoying their meals. Definitely would recommend a visit to Bon Viveur.

An excellent restaurant with comprehensive menu for English / Greek dishes with friendly family service
Although it is located in place with no view, the food is fantastic, the pizza fantastic, the bone fillet excellent, the Greek salad very tasty and the service very good. We visited twice the place, everything was very fresh and quality.

We eat here on a Wednesday night at about 730pm. We had medio size pizzas which were more than enough, a half litre of dry white and some water, came to 24 euros! The pizzas were cooked nicely with reasonably thick bases and plenty of toppings. It's not haute cuisine the seafood pizza I had did have crabsticks on it and we asked for no bacon on my wife's Mediterranean pizza but that bit got lost in translation I think! It had plenty of cheese and chicken on I though. All in all a very filling and cheap meal which is wha e went for.
