Myself along with mom & brother visited Panchavati - Anjaneyar temple last sunday. The temple was so neat & clean with serene atmosphere. The idol Anchaneya was magnificent with 36 ft height. Other deities available in the temple are Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Garuda etc.,
Nice Holy Visit !!

This is temple located in tirukoliyur small town near Villupuram (should be 40 kms drive Villupuram), main deity Ulagalantha perumal. One of 10 avathras of maha vishnu.
this is temple is part of 108 divya desham of perumal.
Main deity is gigantic depicting 1 leg in sky, 1 in earth & 1 king bali chakaravarthi.
Other deities are Sri Krishna, Vishnu Durga, Lakshmi Narayana perumal.
Nearby 2 more temples to visit, 1 Lord Shiva temple & the next 1 crossing the Pennar river bridge is Sri Raguthama Swamy Moola Brindavan (Disciple of Dvaitha philosophy) of Uttradhi Mutt.

An ancient temple dedicated Sri Lakshminarasimhaswami , this temple is also known as Dakshina Ahobilam . The Lord's divine presence can be experienced by one and all . It is auspicious to offer pure cow ghee for lamps at the sanctum . It is auspicious to have darshan of Sri Narasimha at Singirikudi near Cuddalore , Poovarasankuppam on the road to Villupuram from cuddalore and Parikkal 20 kms from Villupuram on the Villupuram - Ulundurpet highway .. Temple timings 8 a.m to 12.30 p.m and 4 p.m to 8 p.m.

I visit the ancient Shiva Temple at Irumbai Village near Pondicherry quite frequently.
The temple has a long history and is famous in the area. All major religious festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm at the temple with huge number of devotees attending.
It is a good idea to visit the temple during one of the festivals when one can see celebrations and processions. It is a feast indeed to hear and see the drummers, horn and cymbal players....
I highly recommend people to visit the temple while on a trip to Pondicherry....

Sri Thiruvikrama Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This is one of the 108 Divya Desam of Lord Vishnu. Here the God Vishnu is worshipped as Ulagalantha Perumal and his consort Lakshmi as Poongothai.
This Temple is actually located at Thirukovilur in Villupuram Dist. of Tamilnadu. This place is well connected from Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai. We visited this temple, recently during November when we were in Tiruvannamalai.
The temple covers a vast area of about 5 acres. Many houses and residential buildings are located around the temple tower. The temple has an eleven-tiered Rajagopuram ( Tower) which is about 192 ft height. This tower is the third tallest temple tower in Tamil Nadu, next to "Srirangam Ranganathaswamy temple" and
"Srivilliputhur Andal Temple".
Devotees have a strong belief that Lord Trivikrama would respond to their prayers like seeking high positions, promotions and regaining the positions they have lost.The temple looks so good.
The Legend say that Emperor Mahabali, had a desire that none should exceed him in status and fame. To realize this aim, he conducted a great "Yagna" headed by his Guru Shukracharya. To bring down his pride. Lord Vishnu took the form of dwarf,(Vamana), came to the Yagna field and sought "Three Foot Steps" of land (three steps by His foot) as Charity. Sensing some mischief, Guru Shukracharya, vehemently warned Mahabali to refuse his promise to the Dwarf. Mahabali did not relent and he was only keen to keep up his word to dwarf and offered His wish. Lord took His Vishwarupa, measured the earth by one foot step and the Akasha by the second step and there was no place for the third step and asked Mahabali for the third. Mahabali gracefully accepted his inability and offered his head for the third. Lord placed his head on Mahabali and demanded that he solemnise the Charity with water from his right hand. Mahabali took the water bowl to confirm his promise. Then Mahabali was pressed by the Lord to the Padala Loka.
This is the posture of the God at this temple.One leg (Left) on the Earth, the the Right Leg , stretching towards Sky and the third food on Mahabalis Head. The God looks very Gracious.

This is actually a community of gypsies called Narikuravar, the women/children make beaded necklaces to sell in the market, they also travel to various festivals so I am unclear as to if they are here all the time. It is very difficult to locate this place, we had a friend with us that spoke Tamil otherwise we would not have found it. He was also handy once we arrived in speaking to the group. If you go,though the Narikuravar speak a bit of several languages, including their own, I suggest you take someone along that speaks Tamil.

During our stay in Pondicherry we visited this very interesting geological park located in the Villupuram District in Tamil Nadu situated 35 km from Pondicherry (1 hour by car).
Good road with beautiful landscapes passing a big lake. The well maintained park contains petrified wood fossils approximately 20 million years old.The fossils are well preserved due to extensive putrification. The tree annular rings and pit structures are clearly visible allowing their age to be determined by counting the rings. We made a great number of very nice pictures.We advice to visit the park in the morning ( a 1-hour visit). We higly recommend to visit this park
