Well worth a visit. Wonderful stained glass, charming theatre and recital rooms, good art gallery and an art deco hallway to die for

When walking from the parking lot to the zoo, there's many amusements for the kids on the way. Tickets cost 15 lei/ adult, kids 3 lei. Check the monkeys and the bears. In the area there are some animals, like goaths, walking free. So if you have something they like for example popcorns or peanuts, they are trying to steal them.

Basically a wall with buildings inside and short corner towers. The museum seems permanently closed. Pretty but not much there.

A public library with some thousands of books - the oldest of which is since the 15th century- concerning history, science, technology and philosophy. English description of the collection is available. Next room is dedicated to Bolyai Farkas and Janos and his non Euclidian geometry. A hidden treasure in the city!!!!

We went during the night when it was closed, but still liked it. It was impressive. They have even a swimming pool that has Olympic size. When I said closed I did not mean everything, for there were young boys playing basketball. It is a place that you can get together with your friends even in the evening.

It is a great pleace, which needs to be visited if you are in the town. Varrious instruments can be seen as part of the museum. You also can see live how meet is prepared. I fully recomand this pleace for school visits.

This uniquely ornate and very beautiful Synagogue stands in a city where there is no longer a Jewish community.
This is a must visit place to learn about the glorious and tragic history of the Jewish community of the city.
The entrance is not in front of the Synagogue but through a gate to the right of the Synagogue gate.
It's better to book a visit by phone (5 LEI entry donation).
4 min walk from Palace of Culture.

Very interesting decoration and painting of stairs! Not to miss for a photo!Bad thing that they are not well maintained at all by the public services...
The idea is very interesting and looks very nice....could look even better if refurbished!
But still have to see...try to take them from bottom and then consider visiting the stairs in 'package' along with the fortress.
