I took a quick walking tour here one morning, after a flight to Istanbul was rerouted to Adana. This is a beautiful mosque. The outer entranceway is clean and the interior is marvelously solemn. A kind cleaning lady let me in, and I was the only person there for a while. Special moment. A nice garden surrounds the mosque and the river is close by. Worth a trip if you're in town.

Very pretty waterfall surrounded by cafes. It was quite busy on a Sunday, but no parking or entrance fee. Nice place to stop for tea or ice cream.

This is not a good option to visit during weekend, specially sundays,
if the weather is also fine, then it is very much better to stay away from this place due to extreme crowd making picnic all around the house.İf you have enough time, pls go and visit as early as possible.

This is apparently the oldest vehicle bridge in the world that is still open. It is lit up at night and you can take some nice photos with the reflections of the mosque and other buildings into the river.
It is easy to park on the Hilton side of the bridge for free, then walk across it into Adana. The Adana Merkez Park and Adana Merkez Camii are very close to this bridge.
There is not a great deal to see in Adana in terms of historical sites, so you may as well come and take a stroll across whilst in Adana.

Located on the D-400, just west of the turn-off to go into Tarsus, the Nusret Minelayer ship is a vintage WWI vessel that has an unexpected history.
The ship saw action during the first World War laying mines, and exchanged hands prior to being acquired by Tarsus in 2002. Between 1989-1999, the ship had sunk and was underwater near Mersin Harbor during that time.
Purchased to make a museum, when the final restoration was completed in 2008, the Museum was opened in commemoration of the deeds of valor by the Nusret Minelayer and his men.
Definitely worth a stop to see; the kids will love it!

Prophet Daniel is counted as being among the prophets named in Torah. He lived during the Second Babylonian reign. He was kept under pressure all the time and was invited to Tarsus. Besides, every place that He stayed was blessed with fruitfulness. The Tomb is located at the center of the city and I strongly recommend this place.

You can reach at Seyhan Barajı by a short drive from the city center.Road to the venue is very nice with amazing views. There are plenty of low and medium quality of cafes and restaurants alongwith the road.Depending on yr budget, you can stop at any of these facilities to have something to eat during any time of the day.Very much relaxing athmosphere.Strongly recommended to take a tour to this part of the city, far from yhe caos.

I think this is the most beautiful mosque in Tarsus. It was built in 16th century. Also the around of this mosque is very beautiful with a 16th century built covered bazaar, a hammam and old turkish style coffee and tea houses. You can see real local life style of Tarsus here.
