My wife and I recently visited this church and the young priest was very simpatico and shows us around and explained everything. The architecture of the church is quite interesting and the cloister was quite big. There was a very important sculpture of Christ called Ecce Homo and the artist was the famous Pedro de Mena. The name of the young priest was Ignacio, and he was very educated. He made our visit very memorable!

My wife and I were recently in Talavera de la Reina to see the ceramics museum. We took a taxi from the Renfe train station to the Plaza del Pan. The area is walkable and the architecture is quite good. Enjoyed seeing the Santa Maria la Mayor Church. The young priest there was very simpatico and shows us everything and explained everything. Could not have been more pleased.

The walls ant the towers were built by the Christians in the 13th century and are quite impressive as you walk the old town. They were built to defend the town during the turbulent 13th century.

The Roman Bridge is quite interesting, especially since it has survived from Roman times to the present time. The bridge has been restored many times since it was built and is a reminder of Roman times in this town.

My wife and I recently went to Talavera de la Reina to see the Ruiz de Luna Ceramic Museum. We found the museum very interesting. We enjoy ceramics and there was much to see there. The most interesting things were the Retablo de Santiago and the Puerta de Montemayor. We live in Malaga and we have a friend who is a descendant of Ruiz de Luna and also works with ceramics.

The main square of Talavera de la Reina in the old town is the Plaza del Pan. This is a big square and is quite attractive and has a tiled floor with geometric designs. There are also palm trees and shrubs that give it some greenery.
