Great little 9 hole course with two sets of tees. Excellent for a social and fun round. Everything was in good condition and the pro shop staff were friendly and helpful. There's a nice little chipping and putting practice area, too.

We stayed in Paternoster mid-week, off-peak. The long stretch of sand with sporadic rock pools was a pleasure to enjoy, with few people. The old town is a picturesque backdrop. The local fishing fleet launch from the sand adding interest. (It is probable that at weekends and in peak season the town and beach will be very busy)

Great place to walk to when visiting. The bay is pretty much flat up until this point when you have a great perspective of where you are.
The water and surrounds are crystal clear due to the rock pulls with loads of shell life nestled in between.
Cool, not amazing but worth the walk of in the area.

We had an amazing time out on the waters fishing with the friendly and knowledgeable crew surrounded by breath taking views of the area and ocean life, the skipper and first mate took fantastic care of us while showing us the ins and outs of the truly authentic west coast fishing experience, thank you Russell & JP!

We spent a bit of time browsing through the studio. We loved the artwork, and actually bought a painting. We also had a cup of coffee at the coffee shop attached, lovely view and friendly hostess.

The South African Fisheries Museum Velddrif is a tourist attraction in Velddrif on the West Coast. It opened in December 2009. It exhibits the colourful history of the fishing industry along this coast from the intrepid days of whaling and whalers to present-day pelagic and lobster fishing.
Great little museum covering the history of the West Coast Fishing Industry from byegone years to recent times. Beautiful model fishing boats and some interesting exhibits showing items used in this industry. We have so much history in our country and this particular monument should be of particular importance, but sadly it seems to be a bit neglected. There are broken glass bottles all over the surrounding ground. At least it seems to be fairly free of graffiti, but I can only assume that it must be a constant effort as the monument is very accessible at all times. Time to spend here - about 10 minutes.

As with most things in Paternoster this store certainly is unique. A wonderful eclectic mix of items - gifts, clothes, super preserves and a lovely selection of Cape honeys. Well worth a browse and quite likely you'll find something that takes your fancy.
