That is the best choice for Thasos! We were staying in a campaign Prinou Thasos and we took the whole way down to Skala Marion and found Atspas beach, searching for beach with sand. True it was crowded during the weekend, however this is the case in Greece during the summer:)
There is volleyball net and very nice bar with service on the beach. It was perfect!
The water was warm and not deep so kids can play and learn to swim.
All the time there was nice chill out music, as it is a closed bay it's not that windy and the best of all is the sunset!

Plus:
- excellent location, easy access by car
- large and generous free parking area
- plenty beach bars where you can eat, drink and in this way you basically pay for your sun beds and umbrellas
- fabulous water, clear, clean, different colors, entrance is in some parts with sand and in others with pebbles, but the first activity you are doing here is snorkeling, because there are rocks on the side and you can see there a lot of fishes, octopus and other surprises
- the beach is long and you can take a walk along the shore, climbing rocks, looking for shells etc
- they have a camping area for who is interested
- toilet area located on the beach, independent, meaning that you don't have to go to a restaurant if you don't want; very clean and well equipped
- a real pleasure to stay, enjoy and relax

Long sandy beach wuth cristal clear blue water. It is deep after few steps. On the beach is hotel with own taverna and other one taverna and veach bar. If you take sunbeds and umbrella (10 euros per complet) you got two drinks (what do you want) and discount 20 procent in her taverna. In taverna got fresh fish, pasta, grill, sweetnes etc. You got free parking in threes for the beach.

This was the first beach to visit in our 2017 summer vacation and it was a relaxing experience. Nice place, very clean, good services and nice personnel. I would recommend rubber sandals or shoes due to the stones on the beach and in the water. The sea is very clear and swimming is a real pleasure. Temperature ok for everyone. Prices are good and if you want to benefit from the sun beds you just need to order something to drink or eat in the range of 10 Euros (we were a couple with a 11 years old kid). We felt great there.

Our agency offers personalised sailing cruises in the island of Thassos,Greece. In essence, we aim to provide a memorable day at sea whilst experiencing friendly Greek hospitality!
Everything was very nice.
Except no attempt was made to put the sails up and sail a yacht as it is meant to be sailed: by sails, not by motor.
This seems standard however on most yacht trips on the island Thasos - they take you around using only the outboard motor which is disappointing.
So, if by taking a yacht out, you are used to sailing and expect to actually put the sails up, I advise you to double check in advance this will actually happen. Otherwise you may end up wondering why you actually hired a yacht in the first place.
