This Cathedral has been refashioned many times since the early 1700s, when it was constructed.
Very busy in plaza on sunday all day, it was still packed at 930pm when I left. Parking was a definite challenge though.

The Centro de las Artes in a national treasure. This remodeled prison has wings (former cell blocks) for the promotion of music, visual arts, dance, sculpture, digital arts, theater, etc. The grounds have beautiful Gardens and sculpture. In one sense it is serene and peaceful. In another, it is exciting and energetic being around the students and artists.
The architecture is beautiful as presently designed but if you look beyond the beauty you can see the harsh place this prison used to be. The juxtaposition of these two uses makes a visit poignant as well as inspirational.

Visit the impressive tamul waterfall with 105 meters high and a 200m curtain, from the moray pier, where you can navigate in a raft about 4 km, on a turquoise river called tampaon, after the waterfall you will see the water cave a beautiful natural cenote to finish eat in a traditional kitchen of the region in the ejido the unrivaled dark flavor
I went with friends. We went very very early with a guide called Carlos ( you can find him in tanchichin camping, campamento santa anita). He suggested us to go very early (7 am) that way we wouldnt be with a lot of people and indeed, we were the only ones arriving there so the pictures are awesome. We managed to be very near the fall, which is impossible to do when there are a lot of people. It was great. After that, we enjoyed the cenote, alone once again. And then, 30 min after, like 50 people arrived. We are grateful to have found this guide. He was a very good guide because he was telling us about stories that happened in the region, talking about the fauna and flora, and the love he has for the tamul's fall. Great person. I recommend him!

A very pleasant surprise ... decent interactive science museum for all ages!
We were simply looking to burn time before heading for our departing flight from the SLP Airport ... and we decided to check the museum out ... great surprise with some really cool exhibits!

This park is what photo ops were meant for: the Fountain, the quaint little street, the Romanesque archways, the Neo-Classical museum - It's all there

This museum is located in an ancient building from San Luis Potosí downtown, there's a big collection of masks from different regions not only in the state, but around Mexico, made of different materials, there's even a small collection with masks and figurines from other countries.

This city plaza is surrounded by numerous historic landmarks.
I think it's really more accurate .to call this space Parque San Francisco, given that it's lawn and trees. Unusually large number of churches right there. Tranquil. Beware of lumpy lawn; I nearly lost an ankle to jt, and definitely lost my dignity! Museo Regional is a black away.

Plaza del Carmen is a favorite among locals and visitors. It's surrounded by 2 historical museums, the regional mask museum, the Teatro de la Paz theater, blocks of stores for shopping, small restaurants, government buildings, cathedrals, street vendors, and tour information.
The plaza is wide and well-maintained with a dramatic Fountain in the center. It is a favorite place of congregation throughout the year; a relaxed environment to stroll, eat an ice cream, or people-watch. It is safe and well-lit at night.
Enjoy San Luis!

Average place, is nice to go and visit only if you find nothing better to do, or if there is an special event... or if you are really interested in trains.
The highlight of the place are the trains they have where you can get on and see how it was when there were passenger trains in Mexico. Specially if you go with kids.
