Did it for the second time. It's a fantastic mountain trip for about 3,5-4 hour that takes you to great places and unique views. Everywhere on the way there are places to take a rest or to have a picnic, a great flying fox route for fans and the camera shouldn't be missing from your backpack. Not a difficult route, accessible.

This little mountain is perfect for an afternoon hike around Brasov. It's only a one hour walk up. Best go via Timisul de Jos/Dimbul Morii and park at Str. Canionului. Now follow signs cabana Bunloc. First part is through the forest and once up you have a great view over Brasov. If you turn around you have a unique view of 3 mountain chains: Piatra Mare, Bucegi and Postavarul. When the sky is clear of course. Nice place to have a picnic and of you feel like it, walk a bit further up to the Cabana and see the paragliders doing their tricks!

I was there in July, with my wife. Was an easy climb that takes about an hour and 15 minutes, from the road Timisu de Sus - Brasov. The views along the way are gourgeos and Tamina waterfall has its charm, but you must pay attention to the weather, because it is very changeable and rain on the way wet you to the skin :)!

Supposedly the biggest and greatest ski resort in Romania, Poiana Brasov is actually a mid-sized ski resort. It has a few good slopes and lifts, but the prices for accommodation and eating out are too high for what you get.

Dare to fly and join us in a para-gliding adventure! It's a magic experience you will experience together with one of ours professional tandem pilots and a "must do" during your stay in Brașov. You don't need to have previous experience but just to be ready to take a few steps on the take off slope and.. We fly ! Weight limit is 30-100 kg and the age limit is none. The youngest of us will need, however, their parents agreement. We are using only certified equipment, our pilots are all professional tandem pilots, and we choose carefully the places and the wind condition for a memorable experience. We fly all year round around Brașov. Here we have several flyings spots, but we'll mostly use Poiana Brasov and Bunloc in Sacele for our para-gliding adventure. The time required is around one hour, with a flying time between 10-15 min for a basic flight or 20-40 min for a long duration flight. Pictures and video will be included and we can also arrange hotel pick up for you.
This was my first flight with a paraglider and I just fell in love with flying. I can't describe in words the flying sensation.
I was visiting Brasov for a week and this was my number one attraction. I found out about it from a flyer at the hotel lobby. I contacted Macrin by email and I was lucky to find out that the weather was perfect for flying the next day. So we agreed for a time when he will pick us up from the hotel.
The next day we went to Poiana Brasov, take the cable car to the top of the mountain and there it was... the great scenery of Brasov. You could see the whole city and for miles in all directions.
As we prepared for the flight I start getting a little nervous. We were really high and a lot of people were watching us. Finally we take off and all we feel is the smooth glide through the air. I see peaks and trees passing beneath us and that great landscape offering all to us. As we are getting closer to the landing field, Macrin (the pilot) start playing around with the wing and we start swinging as in a big cradle. That was so cool, at times I was feeling like falling in zero gravity. For the final ride down, he took me in a spiral with a lot of force pushing me into the harness. I was screaming like crazy!
I recommend a paragliding flight at Brasov, in specially for the nice scenery and for the great thrill you can have. Anyway, the thrill is optional, Macrin asked me before if I like it more intense or not. Also the filming is optional, an extra 10 euro was the charge for that. You also have to pay for the cable car (around 5 euro), but the ride from the hotel was free.
We have to ware some sport shoes and comfortable wear, as we have to run a little at take off.
It all took about 3 hours, as we all finished with a nice meal in Poiana Brasov.

We spend some time in the afternoon after touring Bran/Peles Castles.Great for an afternoon stroll in the historical center of Brasov.Amazing square with cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops next you can admire the black church ,black and white tower etc.Nice architecture with main influence from Germans.Nice to explore the back streets where you can see maybe the most narrow street in Europe.Actually a small town very tidy, clean and interesting to explore.

This First Romanian School Museum is located in the grounds of the Saint Nicholas (Sf. Nicolae) Romanian Orthodox Church. If you take the guided tour, an eldery and very scholarly man (actually an Orthodox priest) will explain everything to you through an interpreter. If your country of origin is mentioned in the school's geography book, he will read the relevant section to you while you are seated at the pupils' desks. The man has a keen sense of humour and is very friendly. The school houses a large and important collection of antique books and manuscripts, some of which are on display in glass cases. Highly recommended.

Offers a lot of different tasty food meals. There is also a Starbucks coffee inside, the only one in Brasov. We liked this place a lot. Hope to visit here again in the future.
