Have fun climbing the 250+ stairs to the top and great view of both Fjord and North Sea. Nice shop selling handycrafts, homemade sweets and serving coffee etc. Also a fun little workshop where local artist make decorative works from beach pebbles. And a surprising playground which got all 3 kids (6, 11 and 18) excited.

Superb aircraft collection in warm clean environment. Many historic aircraft flown by the Danish air force form the early times to the last with the F16 and Sea King. Some aircraft are flown in the evenings during the summer so ask at the desk or check the website to catch this. Good model displays and pleasant cafe with limited food and drink.

Great dunes line a great, broad & endless sandy beach, lovely sea. Life guards. Bunkers to add some history.

It is possible to have a garden with essentially one and only plant. The Hosta. The place is neat, and it is a good place to meditate. On the minus side, it is a bit too expensive (50kr. // 6,5 euros) for a garden used in order to show plants they sell...

The Lyngvig Lighthouse towers above the dunes. Denmark’s most recent, it dates from 1906 and functioned as the primary warning light for ships until 2000, when it was replaced by a fixed, automated light. The residents of the area succeeded in getting the traditional circulating light re-lit in 2013, as a landmark and tourist attraction. We found the gift shop-cum-cafe and small museum bustling with visitors this Sunday afternoon. The museum exhibits were old-style and static but mildly interesting. They included one on beach-based rescue of ship-wrecked sailors and others on the history of beach-going, including women’s one-piece swimsuits from the 1950s. We passed on the opportunity to climb to the top of the tower – a total of 69 steps up the dune, plus another 169.
