In Silkeborg, you can customize whatever kind of getaway suits you. Spend a week with the family working on a local farm or have a splash in the pristine Almindsø Lake. Try your hand at orienteering, or push it to the max while cycling or rambling along a stunning countryside trail. Or, simply float along on cloud nine, spending some restorative time in on of the area's many "bathing lakes." An annual jazz festival, regular fireworks parties and a passel of theme parks spice up the Scandanavian serenity.

At the corner of Tværgade and Nygade you will find Restaurant Zorba with Silkeborg's most lovely courtyard. We are located right in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Silkeborg. We offer Greek food, drink and atmosphere. We love to offer excellent food and drink and we just wish that our guests have a good experience with us. We look forward to seeing you at Zorba. (We also do takeaway) Book a table or take a look at our website: zorba-silkeborg.dk
This is a typical thai restaurant. Neat decor, not fancy. Very friendly and helpful staf. The food is really great - if you like thai food. It is very authentic, adapted I suppose meaning not to much chilly as you will get in Thailand.
We used it several times also for take away

This restaurant is a great little place which offers a 3 course menu for 169kr (about £17). The menu has around 8 choices of starters and mains, plus 5-6 desserts & everything we had seemed to be freshly prepared. The beef was cooked to perfection & the tiramisu was pretty good!
Drinks were also reasonable - I ordered a glass of wine for 49kr and when it arrived I was convinced it couldn't be the correct size!
We visited during the week at around 7pm and it was fairly quiet, but not sure if you would need to book on a weekend.
Just don't go there expecting pizza! We went there as one of us fancied pizza & there wasn't any on the menu, unless we were missing a page! We throughly enjoyed what we did have anyway & would recommend!

The restaurant at Svostrup Kro offers fantastic Danish dishes. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there's great view of the river (Gudenåen). I've lost count of how many times I have eaten here as it is one of my absolute favorites in Denmark. If you're in the neighborhood, you should drop by.

Evald Brasserie & Cafe is a cozy cafe / brasserie at Papirfabrikken in Silkeborg. We are located in an old industrial area with Remstrup stream in front of us. Enjoy a lovely lunch, a glass of wine, a cup of coffee or a three course menu at our beautiful, heated Terrace.

The food we serve is made from scratch and of quality goods from local suppliers.

We are convinced that "less is more". We often change our menu and do what we can to follow the season's selection of produce.

We want to support the local and Danish producers, as this also helps to maintain Danish jobs.
We were staying at the nearby Radisson hotel and decided to visit this restaurant. Upon entering the establishment looking for a table we were ignored by restaurant staff for a considerable period . Staff seemed to be walking around in a bit of a daydream with no one taking charge and didn't engage with potential customers . It is perhaps understandable if the are very busy but its still good to get acknowledged and be told they will be with you shortly . We got rater bored and just walked off to one of the restaurants next door ( which was very good).
If you can be bothered to wait then it might be OK I suppose.

We ordered a five-course gourmet menu and got more than that. We particularly liked the fish (sandart in Danish - pike-pearch). The selection of cheeses exceeded what we have ever experienced: literally more than 100 varieties, most French, but also some of the new Danish "innovation cheeses". The service was professional, yet friendly and with great sense of humour.
The wine-menu was worth every penny. We got five different Austrian wines, perfectly in harmony with the food.
Conclusion: Probably the best restaurant we have ever visited.

Came with some customers who are also friends and again were warmly welcomed and offered English menus.
Great selection of food including traditional Danish dishes. Efficient service and incredible potion sizes! I would not have a starter next time.....
I had eel which was good. Local beers too from Virklund which we enjoyed.
Great setting by the river / lakes.

It is quite unexpected to find such a treasure in a small city in the middle of Denmark.
Marc and his crew will give a treat to your senses and especially your palate.
Nice atmosphere, exquisite dishes, large choice of wine, friendly service...what else to expect?
The 3 courses menu is already a culinary experience with a lot of combined flavors and it comes at very good value.

Asia buffet with sushi, more then 26 chinese hot dishes, mongolian bbq, grill, salat bar, frugt and dessert bar and coffe. A buffet - for ever one!
This was my first visit to King Buffet in 5 years and that was positive to see how good especially the sushi was.
Some of the deep fried prawns and onions were a bit dry.
Price level is is good with 108 kr special offer, where normal price is daily 148 and weekends 168. The drinks are more like normal restaurant price level with 99 for 1/2 house wine and 188 for 1/1 house wine.
I will come back, at least for the sushi.

Food and arrangements you would expect from a gourmet restaurant set in a cosy and layd back atmosphere with charming service and very resonable prices. We went there on a cold November Wednesday and were warmed by a traditional French onion soup, followed by beef tenderloin served with pommes Anna and thyme sauce, each accompanied by a suitable glass of wine. For desert, a very good vanilla icecream and an espresso.
