As I have visited larger zoos around the world I was interested to see a small zoo. It was great to walk around between the exhibits. The animals looked well cared for and relaxed. We had to pay extra to go on a bus and into the lion enclosure which only had a few lions. A variety of animals. If you don't like walking get the miniature train pass so you can hop on and off.

A wonderful experience. I never knew that cactus grows 10-15 feet tall also. The garden has numerous varieties of cactus, from small pebble size to giant 15 footers. The sheer brilliance of cactus flowers is fascinating. The garden is well laid. A walk thru the garden is fascinating to say the least. Cameras are a must else you miss beauty in thorns.
A nominal entry fee is charged.
A not to be missed attraction.

Pinjore(22 km from Chandigarh)
This is also known as Pinjore Gardens. There is a small entry fees but the place is worth it. There are cascading Gardens of flowers and surrounded by fruit trees. One can have fresh fruits from the garden from the selling point. there is a food court and a bar/ restaurant/ One should go in the evening to enjoy the lights and environment. There are rooms available for stay as well.

We had visited the original in Jaipur, several times. So we were naturally curious to see this name in Amravati,on Chandigarh-Shimla highway. So we went with friends and families in 2016,and the exprience was magical. They have created a glimpse of Rajasthani culture in food, dress, games, camels, music and what not.Above all their famous and so genuine courtesy. It was a pleasure to find Rajasthan,so close to our home.

This is an off beat place for a days visit, perhaps a picnic. The fort itself is a small fortress actually, with just enough space for kids to frolic in. Its dusty in here, so those with allergies should abstain. The drive from Chandigarh/Panchkula is through hilly terrain, but not quite scenic like a drive to Timber Trail and beyond.
There have been several instances of crimes on this route, so plan only for a days visit and avoid driving at night. Go in a group preferably.

I enjoyed "Holiday" movie with my friends at this location. This place is far from Panchkula.
we have to pay toll tax to reach there.
The venue and the mall is not so attractive and lively.
This location is good option for people living in Amravati, Pinjore areas not for PKL ppl.
Over all mine was an average experience.

Every city of India has its own definition in terms of its culture, traditions, ethnicity, foods, and language. Form that angle even the capital city Raipur which is not too far from West Bengal and the adjacent areas are quite promising to be thronged by the tourists from across the country. There are several places in Raipur which reflect its preservation of rich history and culture. Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum is a museum located near DK Hospital. Established by Raja Mahant Ghasidas of Rajnandgaon, the museum features sections like archeology, natural history and anthropology. We also spotted crafts, paintings, jewelry, and tribal terracotta. We also visited the tribal library. May be I am not one of those culture vultures, but places with rich cultures have always been my weakness; the murals, architecture, sculpture all are simply captivating. That’s why I try to hop places which have great artistic exhibits; such is Mahakoshal Art gallery which exhibits some excellent local art forms. Spiritual places always offer some sort of peace and solace which is missing in the hustle bustle of city life. For the ideal place of such tranquility was Doodhadhari monastery and temple. Legend has it that here swami Balbhadra Das survived on doodh (milk).
