My 3 daughters have learned so much at Kowhai! They've developed great friendships, great respect for their instructors and a huge amount of knowledge since riding beginning riding here. Having the opportunity to take a break from city life has also been invaluable. No gaming stations, no malls or boredom sitting around home, instead they're have great fun in a true Kiwi environment all the while learning excellent riding skills! :-)

It is dedicated to showing exhibits that have a local influence, such as those that have been brought to Oxford from early settlers and Oxford families who have had great influence in the growth of the town.
They have a new exhibition space which should be ready early in 2015 and they are in the process of fund-raising to build a new entrance which will include a shop and a special exhibition space. I am looking forward to seeing what this lovely museum will be like when they have finished their works....it will be even more special.

Oxford Farmer's Market is a great way to spend an hour wandering around the many stalls, with many of them giving you free tastings of their wonderful products. Then you could drop in to one of Oxford's lovely Cafe's for brunch and a coffee.

Personalised small group horse treks around the stunning and remote terrain of Mt Oxford near to Christchurch.
There is nothing quite like the smell of horses...one that I have always loved but don't encounter often enough. Being able to reconnect with the joy of riding, among such dreamy scenery was, all at once, soothing and energizing. Tori, our guide, is knowledgeable and just lovely to be around. The horses are beautiful and friendly, and there is a horse for all types of riders. A wonderful experience!!
