Karatepe was established as a border castle by Asativatas who introduce himself as archon of Adana plain in BC 8th century the Hittite age, against to the Northern Barbarian tribes. There is a caravan way on the west of the castle, Aslantaş Dam is located on the east of it. The inscriptions on the orthostats are written in two different languages hieroglyphic Hittite and old Phoenician. You can admiringly watch the work of many issues such as size statue of the storm god, war ship, the Hunting stage, a banquet table, fight with lion, nursing mother.
If you are in Kadirli, Osmaniye or Adana and if you like archeology, this is a place you should see with well preserved Hittite ruins and statues, in a very nice nature with a lake and pine trees. But be carefull, it will be very hot in July and August. The archeological sites around are Kastabala and Anavarza (Anazarbus). You can also visit the Hemite village, where the famous Turkish novelist Yasar Kemal was born, to feel Turkish village life in a nice nature with Ceyhan river and some castle ruins.

Between 52 B.C. and 17 B.C. this Cilician town became the center of an independent principality under Tarcondimotus I. Rome (under Augustus) then restored its influence by making Tarcondimotus II, the new king, Governor of Cilicia in Anazarbus.
Here is hidden paradise in Anatolia. It is waiting to be discovered with castle, antic theater, colonnaded street and they are well-preserved. In there continues the work of archaeologists. You can come here by car, or tourist buses and entrance is free. But note that summer is very hot here, my advice to come here in the spring or autumn. Don't forget your photograph machines.

7 km from the city center, Karachay waterfall. In particular contains all the plants of the Mediterranean Sea and 3 km at the end of a green valley flows down from a distance of 25 meters. After a certain distance is traveled from the aiport transportation Karachai (4 km away from the city.), But 3 km footpath way, which can be a wonder of nature untouched.Any time during the week or on the weekend with many people having a picnic, Çukurova natural plants are grown in a specific place at the same time, the daily Promenade and trekking area. There are small restaurants that meet the requirements. Transport, minibuses and taxis are performed.

Toprakkale Castle was made to protect Cukurova against any attacks from the south. At the same time joins the caravan routes located on a hill 75 meters high. MÖ.312 castle 'built by the Seleucids, Romans, Abbasids, Seljuks, and Ottomans restored by Ramazanoğulları known to be used. This castle, the Hittites and Assyrians "Carania" Persians "susanis" Romans "Amanicae-Caranadiopolis", the Abbasid Period "Al-Kenisa-Key Savda (Black Church), Hamdaniler" Phone hamdu ", the Ottomans" Kinik Castle "gave the name.
Castle is landed on the hill, so easy to spot it. More problems are with entering there. Main enter is from the main road. Riding from Iskenderun to Adana, please do not turn onto Osmaniye. We did it and had to climb through the trees and oranges field (they are very tasty). Normal path looks good.
Castle is old but in relatively good condition. It is not destroyed or full ow wastes. Just nice stone building from the Ottoman period. Green grass even in November, Awesome landscapes and part of history around you. Recommend for families and friends :)

Sabun Stream is located in Düziçi District of Osmaniye Province. It Springs from the Düldül Mountain and the stream flows into the Aslantaş Dam and Ceyhan River. On the Sabun Stream there are many large and small waterfall. Here is welcomes many visitors, especially during spring and summer.
We kept asking for direction to find this location from local people. Lucky that we traveled with our Turkish friends who made the journey easier. Our vehicle parked somewhere and to reach the waterfall we had to walk along the man-made water stream. Visiting during pre-spring season, the place is empty :-)

One of the two rare artifacts which are used as church and mosque in the worldThe Alacami had been instructed 2000 years ago by the FLAVİEN heraldic at a.d. 70 .The Alacami is the magnificent artifact of the romanian antique city FLAVİAS.The Alacami had been turned from church into a mosque by Sarı Kaplan, son of the Anatolian Turkish Beylik of Dulkadir's bey Alaüddevle in 1480s as adding a mihrab at the qible direction to the inside part of the artifact and a minaret to the northeast wall of the artifact. Since than the Alacami has been in the protection.

Kırmıtlı Bird Sanctuary, located in Kırmıtlı Village, Province Of Osmaniye. Ceyhan river bed are located here. Every year dozens of kinds of birds come here. You can come here from Osmaniye by bus which goes to Kadirli district. Osmaniye is 15 km. to here.
This is an incredible place. Well off the beaten track and yet just an hour or two from the major Cappadocian resorts;Sultan Marshes provides a restaurant, pension, walks, jeep safari and a three hour guided punt across the 37,000 hectare reed beds and lakes-with a 3,900 meter snow capped mountain in the background!!
The punt across the reserve is incredible-expect to see flamingo, egrets, storks, gulls, terns and duck. You may even get lucky, land on one of the Islands and find Wolf!! Te boat trip is E25 per person and is money well spent. Worth going as a group to share the costs.
This place makes for a peaceful, quiet, get away from it all, eco-friendly alternative to the bustle of the tourist routes to the north and south. Highly recommended!
