The Kozlovic philosophy is embodied in the family's history, a family that knew how to hold together, working towards a common goal; nurturing the value of their toils, effort, resolution and competence...
We didn't manage to book a whole winery tour because the groups were full for the day, but we had tasting (3 glasses of wine for 50 kunas, which is a great price). If you are near, you should definitely stop by.

For a wander through a beautiful authentic hill-top village, we loved Groznjan. It is set atop a hill not far from Novograd and Motovun. On the day we visited, they were practising opera in a room opening out onto one of the many small squares. It was a sublime experience to stand and listen to the arias being rehearsed accompanied by a grand piano and exquisitely rendered. I could have stayed all day to listen, but our kids quickly lost interest so we moved on. They have urged me to score down the rating as there is not much of excitement for younger children, but for me it was a high spot of our time in Istria.

The Agro-millo is an agricultural family operated business in which the very members of the family carry out with great are their own duty inside the agricultural undertaking as well as in their own olive-groves and in the oil mill during the period of milling. The undertaking can rely on a surface area of 7 hectares covered with olive trees in western inland of Istria, in the area of Buje, which was appreciated for the esteemed quality of its olive oil as far as from the time of ancient Romans.
If you are near the vicinity of Buje do drop by. it is not a shop so you will need to be looking for it. The Olive Mill is in Kracisa and you drive down an unmarked road to get to it. You get a nice view along the way. These guys are award winning olive miller and they use some of the latest eco-friendly technology to cold press the olives. A family runned business and very friendly. Just drive in and ask to poke around the production plant. They will drop everything and give you an impromptu tour which is wonderful. October is the harvest month if you are looking for some action. You can also buy their extra virgin olive oil to take home. All of their olives are cold pressed within 24 hours after harvest. As you would notice I am a fan!

A great day with the kids , the slides are excellent , our boys did them all. Our family favorite is the "Crazy Hills". The kids always want to beat us to the bottom !
There plenty of space to have lunch , we bring our own sandwiches and drinks. However we always buy drinks there as well.
Do no miss the music band that goes into the wave pool .. excellent time!
We always go there on the Saturday's as there seems to be less crowd on that day.

Kabola wines are produced from selected grapes grown in the northwestern part of the Istrian peninsula where soil, climate, location and tradition give the wines their unique "terroir". Vintners since 1891, the Markezic family has created a distinctive style of winemaking - one that respects the past and looks to the future.
When you arrive, you are vowed by the beautiful views of vineyards and the prettiness and the tidiness of the buildings and the greenery. Unfortunately the timing didn’t work out for us to attend a wine tasting session, but we tasted four different Kabola wines in the shop which were excellent. Inevitably we left with a few bottles to enjoy later.

Right of the top we need to thank the caretaker. We arrived on a Monday unaware the museum is closed on Mondays. However we called the posted phone number and she came and opened uo for us. We never felt like we were rushed and the information provided excellent.
Incredibly preserved mill and the living quarters are fascinating.

Momjan castle - built in the 12th century on a cliff, it once had 4 towers, of which only one remains, and a drawbridge. The remains of walls and towers are still visible as well as the portal with a bow and two magnificent stone jambs.
Currently it is under reconstruction, but still you can see all it's beauty and feel calmness of nature around it... Like it is 12th century.

Buje is 2000 years old. There is something to see: very old buildings (closed?) which has been restaured such as churches and campaniles, towers, etc... When we where there , very few tourist were visiting.. The old city is 10 minutes walking from the newer portion. But when we reach it, it was empty I cannot understand this lack of interest . There was no one in the city who could help us. We bought truffle products at this tartufi shop. They have a good choice. But you can find the same products elsewhere as Zigante is all over Istria. So do not use your time in vain. Skip Buje. This is sad.
