February 21, 2018 Agatha Simes

This resort area on the southern part of Gran Canaria has a laid-back, upscale vibe. You’ll find crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling, a network of canals (which gave the town the nickname “Little Venice”), and a number of restaurants and bars along the pretty beach.

Karolka Yacht Charter

Daily sailing trips- 5 hours sailing trip- max 10 persons- snorkelling - lunch, soft drinks, wine and beer included. We invite you to join us on our yacht New Karolka, for a wonderful voyage on the atlantic ocean. Excursions start at 9.30 am from Puerto de Mogan and head out across the crystal clear beautiful blue waters to the south west of Gran Canaria. We invite you to become one of the crew, hoist the sails and helm the boat, or, if you prefer, just sit back and enjoy the scenery. Either way you will have the opportunity to experience the freedom, tranquillity and peace of mind, that can only be found on the open ocean. Dolphins and flying fish often accompany us on the trip and if we are lucky sometimes whales too. We will stop for lunch, weighing anchor, in a wonderfully picturesque and secluded little bay. Here you may take the opportunity to simply soak up the sun, but if you wish to be a little adventurous, the bay offers great snorkelling and a deserted and wild beach. After lunch we begin our sail back to Puerto de Mogan, arriving around 3 pm. During the voyage we offer lunch on board, soft drinks, wine and beer. Don't forget to bring a smile and we'll do the rest! WE SPEAK ENGLISH, POLISH, SPANISH

What a fabulous trip! Perfectly hosted by Marek & Dagmara everyone was made to feel welcome. We shared our experience with a group from Poland and discovered our hosts were multilingual switching with ease from Spanish to Polish to English thereby ensuring everyone was included in conversations. Our hosts were passionate about sailing, knowledgeable about the island and happy to share experiences from various trips they themselves have taken. Food and drink were good and included in the price as was the use of snorkelling equipment. Unfortunately, we picked a day when there was very little wind so didn’t get the full sailing experience, but the voyage was still an entertaining and relaxing way to spend a few hours. All in all a superb trip which we would highly recommend and will repeat should we return to Gran Canaria.

I can’t speak highly enough of the friendly and professional attitude and atmosphere engendered at Blue Explorers, Taurito Bay, Gran Canaria. The staff (Denise, Julian, Francine, et al) are certainly amongst the best I have come across in all my diving (Maldives, Red Sea, UAE, Malta, Cyprus, GC). Friendly, supportive, professional, calm, respectful, a really pleasant experience.
I bought 6 dives: a mix of reefs and modest wrecks, rays, octopus, angel sharks, stargazers, barracuda, etc.
Very pleasant recreational diving with cool, friendly, professionals.

To start with the poor side, we were playing over five hours to complete a round of golf, just because on that Sunday many players were on the course, flights getting slow.
Now the good things: Great, spectacular views, fairways, bunkers, greens, all in very good condition. Some stunning holes are really challenging, require precise shots. The weather was also great as well as my flight partners - as we were put together when registering for playing.
The pro shop is also well equipped.

Amadores is a sleepy quaint little bay. You can walk it in 10 minutes. There are no real shops, just a bunch of cafes and tat stalls lining the sea wall. The walk from Puerto Rico is nice, but so busy.

What an amazing day on the ocean! Juan is an excellent host. The tapas was delicious, food and drinks were plentiful, beautiful views on and off the yacht, the lunch was just as delicious as the early day tapas. All of the positive reviews here are totally accurate. The day was so relaxing, with plenty of swim time, beach time, and sunning on the deck time.

This is a beautiful spot for picnics and barbecues; good parking, toilets, Seating and BBQs... I can imagine it must be teeming with visitors in the summer. Fortunately it was really quiet and peaceful when we visited (1st December). We enjoyed a lovely walk around the lake (reservoir) which was marred only by the disappointment that there seemed to be no way to get across or around the dam, so we had to retrace our steps. The path is a little hard to discern in places and there are some rocky areas so stout footwear is recommended.

...and you will only be a little disappointed! A very tired water park and if you have the willpower to travel from Mogán to Aqua Land save your money and go!
Joints on the slides have the undesirable affect of ‘cheese grating’ your skin as you slide down them, followed by a salt water pool. Nice. Metal steps up to the tops of the slides could do with some serious maintenance and upkeep.
Staff who work within the park and on the front desk are morale thief’s, all could do with attending a course on customer service.
On the plus side the sun loungers are free!
