Must visit and free shuttle bus pick up etc. Very close to the town easy to get there . Great display of old and new air craft . Glad we have chance to visit in Misawa Aviation and Science Museum.

Agurinosato Oirase is a wonderful local farmers market, which I have frequented often. Happily it is just down the road from my house. The produce and other foods are local, top-quality, and inexpensive. Black garlic, a unique cooking staple of northern Japan, is always available here. Strawberries are often available to pick in greenhouses, as well. The goods for sale here are almost entirely local and seasonal -- not air-shipped from half a world away...or even from distant parts of Japan. I highly recommend this market!

異才奇才の異名を取った寺山修司。三沢に住んだことがあることから、この記念館ができた。入館してびっくり。本当に独特な世界を味わえる記念館。本人の遺品等は、ほとんどないが、作品等に親しむことができる。

This is a great park right in Misawa. I'm not sure why so many seem to bypass it. We were often the only ones in the park. There are nice camping sites and cabins here as well. Playgrounds, walking paths, a lake, a BIG sliding hill....this is a great park.

小川原湖名物の「もくずガニ」の入った「ガニ汁缶」が売られている。少々高価だが、一生に一度だと思って買って食べてみた。味はまあまあ。ニラを入れて食べると、それなりに美味しい。

寺山修司記念館に行く際に立ち寄ったが、たまたま風の強い日で、野鳥はほとんど見ることができなかった。オオセッカ世界最大の繁殖地なので、次回は、ぜひ天気のいい日に訪れたい。

This festival is held the fourth weekend in July in the main event venue of the town of Tohoku in Kamikita, Aomori. It hosts a wide variety of events that the whole family, kids & adults alike, can enjoy, such as a huge treasure hunt, homemade raft races, "beach flags" beach sprinting races, Freshwater clam harvesting, a Marathon, and more. The first night features a huge fireworks show, with about 2,800 fireworks and displays from famous pyrotechnicians and fireworks companies that light up the lake's surface with color. Both days of the festival feature numerous gift shops and street stalls.

朝からマラソン大会、ビーチフラッグス等、スーパーボールすくいまで、しじみ貝掘りy等大人から子供まで楽しめるイベントが満載です。そしてクライマックスは19:30頃から花火が打ち上げられます。
丸一日楽しいイベント多彩で、運営側の方々に感謝です。

古代から馬の産地として有名な三八上北地方。氣比神社も馬産の神様で、小さな神社ですが境内はきれいに整備されています。
周辺は街道の跡で、5分ほど離れたところには一里塚の跡も残っています。セットで行ってみては。
