Prainha Beach was the nicest beach we encountered in Brazil, and the walk to it was quite pleasant as well. We went to Jeribucacu Beach the next day and were definitely less impressed by it. We walked from the centre of Itacare, so I'd guess it took about 1.5 hours each way. The beach itself had nice sand, and the waves were pretty good for body Surfing. There were a few other groups around, but overall the beach felt pretty deserted. We like it there so spent most of the day there.
The best advice I found for not getting lost on the trail is to follow the blue pipe, and then cross at the cascades/pond. The rest of it you can generally figure out as you go.

Jeribucaçu is beautiful, the nicest beach in the surroundings of Itacaré. Walking there took only 20 minutes through a very beautiful track in the atlantic forest. A combination of some exercise, a nice shadowed area under the coconut trees, bathing in clean and warm sea and river waters and an excellent barbecued fish in the end of the afternoon. Perfect day.

Bit of a hike to get there but once there you are in paradise. Beach surrounded by tropical forest. Hardly anybody there. A few surfers and us. There is a small bar for drinks and some snacks.

We went through the Atlantic Brazilian woods and then three Beaches ( Engenhoca, Havaizinho, Camboinha ( not mencioned by TripAdvisor, they menciona another Camboinha in Paraiba State not Bahia ) after that we reach the only beach with restaurant ( and within an ice cream shop ) : Itacarezinho. Coconut trees and a very nice view and the only place among the mentioned Beaches where to eat

Took the this tour included in our package through the surf school. It was a beautiful hike and refreshing water. Nice to hang out in the waterfall, with water cascading down. Great natural massage. Definitely recommend. Check with local tour operators in town.

I didn't go there to watch the sunset - the sight of crowds of people I could see from across the bay put me off! - but I visited the "mirante" several times during my stay. It is a really tranquil spot and very relaxing, even though so close to the most commercial beach in Itacaré!

This small street has several restaurants, bars and shops. It is very busy at nice. Some bars have live music.

If you can access this beach and enjoy the service of Itacaré Ecoresort - you can eat, drink, relax and enjoy the pool in one of the best beach areas I've ever been to (and I've been around!).
One of the best things is that it is peaceful and you don't have that terrible noise from the constant beat of Brazilian music.
