Built in 1886, this bridge links Porto and Gaia.
Well we picked the wettest Easter on record to visit Porto.
We did the lower part of the bridge on the pouring rain and the return from the Dark Side by the upper bridge in what can only be described as crazy windswept outward bound type adventure. People were blown sideways. Umbrellas broken beyond repair.
What a day.
It's just a bridge...looks the bees knees. It was built back in 1792...so with those winds it has stood the test of time.
We were shot blasted but survived.

It's a beautiful and peaceful park. I work relatively close and it feels good to go there to lunch and then walk around a little bit.

It is a truly unique space. With sophisticated environments, innovative architecture and decor, a "living house" in full operation, where you can learn the entire brewing process, meet the raw materials, as well as the memorable moments, stories and curiosities about Super Bock. In the lounge are presented two food paring with beer, and in the store a wide range of branded articles are available.
everyone are professional, knowledgable and genuie nice people. they go the extra mile to make the visit special. i would book this place will become very busy once word gets around. many thanks for another great tour.

This zoo has some amazing animals, such as lions, tigers and a brown bear! You can also get very close to them unlike many zoos in the UK. It's just a shame how small some of the enclosures are, and how little shade is offered...MoreWe want to thank the kind words. Be always welcome

Um bom local para começar a noite, beber um copo e descontrair.
Ao sábado a partir das 24, o espaço fica cheio, mas o que não deixa de ser normal para um local com qualidade.
Recomendo vivamente....

For a person who never stomped grapes to turn them into wine, this was great tour into the wine making. Our hostess, Maria Tomé explained in great, understandable details how you get port out of grapes. After the port making lesson, she introduced us to her favourite ports. Although we were biased towards white port, she let us try an ambrosia of a red port - we left with 4 bolts of port; including the red one :)
Highly recommended way of spending few Euros on worthy cause. We will never look at port the same way. Thank you Maria!

The Torre Lidador is an iconic building of this county representing the opening of a new cycle of progress and development. Having as its primary objective the installation of municipal services, this is a key landmark to a process of sustainable development. The Torre Lidador is a reference in the city, with 92 meters high, being the 5th tallest building in the country and the highest outside the city of Lisbon Being visible from any of the ten parishes of the county is a reference, not only geographical but also illustrative of development, work capacity and entrepreneurial spirit. It represents the transparency and openness of Local Government, the accessibility of the Municipal Council of Maia to citizens. This is an open and transparent workspace. It was inaugurated on July 9, 2001 and its author Architect Antonio Machado
The location is very good, just 100m from the Metro station. The tour guide described the history related with the tower as well as the city history itself. After that, we took the lift to the 19th floor where we were able to go outside...MoreThank you Miguel for your review. We were very pleased you had a good experience. Hope to see you again.

Very old church rebuilted in 1097, mostly romanic style. You should also visit the cemitery. Outside the church there are some old graves.
