Un lugar precioso y muy entretenido para ir con los niños. Caminar al río es muy bonito y los niños no se querían bajar de la bicicleta en el pump track!! La Cafetería también es muy rica. Ideal para ir de paseo por la zona

Parque Nacional Vicente Perez Rosales

Reviewed By AnalieseD - Los Angeles, California

The lightest hike you have is 5km uphill in volcanic ash which makes for some rough trekking. The closest mirador is about 6km in. Of note the hikes are largley uncovered so bring a hat/sunscreen. The first mirador was really beautiful. Expect to spend at least 3 hours on the trail, more like 4-5hours.

Lake Esmeralda

We took a Princess excursion from our ship - it was all day and included lunch at a wonderful lodge. The 45 minute boat excursion on the lake was a wonderful way to view the Volcano Osorno...The snow capped peak was ever present from everywhere we went even after departing the lake.

Lago Todos Los Santos

Sometimes called Lago Esmeralda because of its blue-green color, this strikingly beautiful glacial lake is bordered by steep cliffs.

Stop here first (end of road), take the 30 boat ride, then go back down to Petrohue falls. Both in same National Park. Gorgeous spot!

Fundo Playa Venado

Playa Venado Farm is a dairy farm that opens its doors to tourists and locals alike who wish to enjoy breathtaking landscapes of Chile’s southern farmlands on the shores of Lake Llanquihue while learning about the process of milk production and preparation of gourmet manjar (caramel milk spread) on the premises. Located on Route 225 to Ensenada, and only 16 km from downtown Puerto Varas, the farm is surrounded by rolling fields overlooking the lake and the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. The dairy cows of Danish Jersey origin are milked daily to provide the basic ingredient in the preparation the traditional homemade recipe of delicious manjar of the highest quality. This farm stands out for its good field management practices, a proper milking routine, sound animal health management, rigorous hygiene standards and special care for the environment.Visitors can tour the facilities of the milking shed, calf barn and feeding patio; learn about production inside the small processing plant, taste freshly made manjar and purchase products in the souvenir shop. This is a delicious opportunity to live an experience that combines the best of our southern farms with the sweetest of our traditional Chilean confections.

One of the best places we have visited in Puerto Varas. Authentic dairy farm just 20 minutes away from town. Easily accessible by car or local bus on the road to Ensenada. You must try their milk caramel spread (manjar)...it's simply out of this world!...MoreThank you for your post. We will start making cheese in June, so hope to you see you here soon!
