Walking leisurely along the narrow streets and old buildings give this place a very
quaint feeling. Although most of the shops here sell souveniors, the window displays were so interesting and cute! there are a few small individually owned restaurants and hotels in this area too. This place is contained within a small area. Worth spending Some time here..

I visited Skurugata a couple of hours sunset on a sunny day in March 2014.
I had read about it ahead but didn't expect the beauty of the site. From the top, a great view down over the trees. From down Skurugata, looking up the 30 m high walls of the canyon.
It takes at least 40 minutes to cover the 800m of Skurugata, expect a total of 90 minutes with the walk to and from. Take sturdy shoes and a sweater, it can be cold.

Eksjö through the centuries Museum of military history in Småland Albert Engström, a noted Swedish artist and cartoonist Contemporary Swedish art and other Exhibitions The museum garden is a venue for music and art happenings
Eksjö Museum provides a nice opportunity to know more about the town, its history and everyday life without too much efforts. The exposition consists of the four parts: temporary exhibition, history of the town, history of the Småland Regemente and a great collection of Albert Engströms works. Engström is the author of famous anti-prohibition poster and many other satirical drawings. If you read Swedish, prepare to laugh! We also enjoyed the exhibition of the local Photographers' Club and the collection of photos depicting the life of Eksjö nowadays. The museum gives a very sincere, warm image of life in this charming small town.

Meget stemningsfuldt.
