Douz was in the yellow zone per the British Foreign Affairs. We were only two tourists at a large resort, a bit uneasy. Gateway to the Sahara is a stretch, it involved a somewhat rip off camel ride that took us less than a km from the entrance and plunked us on the ground so we could be sold photo ops with dessert fox, coke and stuff. Disappointed and not worth the many hour drive to get there and beyond.

Khalid's friendly, helpful, polite, and extremely competent team made our Sahara adventure amazing. In a decade's worth of Tunisian adventures this was my favorite. You can't beat fast 4-wheelers/quads, great food, and the desert's extreme beauty... and especially with a group of great friends!

Was surprised when I visited this museum with friends. The guide that worked there did a great job in explaining to us about all the displays. It was fun to learn more about the Saharan culture. It was also air conditioned-- so that was nice in.

I booked a half day tour of Carthage and Sidi Bou Said with Saharansky and I am truly happy of the service received. Both driver and guide were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed very much talking to them about Tunisia in general. The guide was not necessarily an expert of Roman history but he supplied enough info which completed my knowledge of the topic. The visit fulfilled my expectations, there were no bad surprises and included an excellent lunch. The price of the tour was definitely worthy. I would highly recommend Saharansky, which is apparently specialised in desert treks, and the guides Mabrouk and Wathek.
