It was nice to get to know this small, but professional team under leadership of Slava and to dive with them (Dibba rock, Artificial reef).

Nomad Dive Centre is located in Royal Beach Hotel and only 500m away from Dibba Rock which is the most popular snorkeling and scuba diving destination in the UAE. Dibba Rock is a Marine Reserve and home to hundreds of species of Marine life. Divers and snorkelers of all ages and levels can enjoy a great adventure here. A full range of PADI courses is also available.
Nomad Ocean Adventures is certainly the best diving centre in the UAE - Fujeirah Emirate.
Ideally located in front of Dibbah Rock, it offers the best diving spots in the area.
Unfortunately, the management announced at the end of April that the activity would stop in Fujeirah.
The Dibbah-Oman diving centre is still open ... Hopefully we will continue diving with Nomad Ocean Adventures on the Oman side of Dibbah.
The adventure must go on!

Friendly staff. Complete dive centre. I would suggest providing a bit more briefing for new guests, so they understand what can be expected.
Diving is subject to coastguard approval for the boat ride, though. There's definitely politics involved.... At least we didn't understand why a flat sea would not be safe enough for the short trip...

Blue Planet Diving is unfortunately being down-graded.
I have been diving at Blue Planet Diving since 2014 and I was enthusiastic about the well-managed and sympathetic dive centre. My first review in 2014 was very positive.
But during my 2-day diving session in December 2015, I learnt that the director Mrs. Alla Druzhynina had left the UAE to set up a new centre in Viet-Nam.
Her brother Slava (an excellent diver, but not an administrator) seemed uncomfortable in managing this centre: I sent many emails to book the dives but never got any answer, I called but no one ever answered on the phone, I wanted to go for new skills certification but got no reply. Thanks to a friend who was diving a week before, the booking was eventually made.
Once certified, I had to insist during 3 weeks to get confirmation that the registration on PADI website was completed.
The equipment was not well maintained : empty scuba cylinders (by chance I am always checking by myself before boarding the boat), no recent BCD, old wet suit, etc.).
Since the week-end spent there, I have decided to dive with the new club next door, a branch of another of my favourite dive centres (based at Dibba-Oman side): they opened their Dibba-UAE centre right in front of Dibba Rock.
See my dedicated review.
=> Breaking News ...: it seems that as of end of March 2016, Blue Planet Diving has CLOSED.
A new dive centre has taken over ... but indeed I have no opinion on them whatsoever.
Let us wish all the best to our friend Slava who deserves better than this sad ending.

Blue Whale Tour helping travellers connect with the culture, landscapes, beach ,food in Musandam ,UAE and Oman . While discovering the must-see attractions, we aspire to help you uncover genuine experiences that will give you stories worth remembering.Blue Whale Tour is a comprehensive solution provider and widely acknowledged authority for travelto Musandam .
We took this tour on November 14. We had to wait in the heat of Dubai for an hour for the pick up. While the driver was in contact with our group, we still feel like he shouldn't have waited at the first hotel for 45 minutes for people. At the very least, he should have picked us up and then gone back, but you know, if they weren't ready, a 10 minute wait is all that is necessary. Then they got the good seats in the very tiny cramped mini van that had less than adequate AC. The ride to Musandam was good, although uncomfortable. When we got there, we could see other vans that had brought passengers that looked much nicer than ours. So maybe we were just unlucky. The dhow was as expected, but there was no one greeting us or letting us know what was going to happen during the day. No safety advisements. Good thing we brought our own snorkel gear as there was none to borrow. BUT the food for lunch was fantastic. Otherwise, we enjoyed swimming and going to the beach. We didn't do the banana boat, but had fun watching the others. My husband enjoyed the fishing experience. It was a nice day, just disappointed in the
drive out and back and the lack of concern for our safety.
