One year later here again! Nice interesting ruins to see. You can wonder about at your own pleasure which I really enjoyed. Whilst seeing the biggest pyramid i could hear from the jungle bushes wild monkeys which gave us the fright! Very funny though! It is really interesting to see trees which create glue!!! And cocoa trees as well!!! Just one big warning... put cream to keep giant mosquitos away from you! This year I had no mosquito bites, but still remember the ones from last year.

If you are interested to know how the chocolate is made, you must visit an Hacienda Cacaotera , there a few around this zone, We visited " La Luz" and start we a guided tour , we k oe the cacao trees , we can cut some fruits , cacao, its like a big mango , once ripped , takes the seeds to being the process!!, but you also taste the fruit to know the chocolate flavor!!...in the tour we know another trees that produce pepper , canela, vainilla , etc!...once in the Villa , the guide explain all the process to obtain the chocolate!!!...just amazing!!

Overall I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Going in I thought we would get a tour of a working cacao farm. However it was more of a tour of local plants including cacao, vanilla and other species. We did get to see the machines involved in making the cacao but maybe it was the time we went there because there was no actual chocolate making. The little gift shop was decent. We were able to sample all the different types of chocolate and chocolate drinks and were able to purchase some to take home.
