Had a fantastic wee afternoon here watching the kites being fed. Was fascinating! Well worth the £5 per adult. And the kids were free!!

Mossyard beach is a super little beach with lovely views. You can park nearby for a very reasonable £2 and there is a simple toilet there. Our two little granddaughters were thrilled with the sand and loved making shell pictures. They ventured into the sea and happily got very wet even though we hadn't brought swimsuits. Our two dogs were welcome too. Recommended

My partner loves this beer and although I'm not a beer drinker I found the tour very interesting as I had no idea of the process.
I loved the bar area. Was like going back in time and friendly knowledgeable staff.

We visited on a rather damp dull day but went a short walk with the dog. I'm sure it is very beautiful on a sunny day. Lunched at the visitor centre which was very busy everyone having the same idea, the staff were working incredibly hard getting the food out as quickly as possible. I had soup which was lovely. My husband had a tuna & mayo baguette which was really big. Dogs are allowed in this visitor centre. Some attractive fungi in the forest.

If you keep your eyes open you'll see deer all over Scotland but usually just for a moment as the car drives past or a second before they bolt. Here you can stare at their beauty for hours mostly from 10-20m but if you offer them food (carrots!) they come close, really close. Their autumn colour is a beautiful red ginger and the stags were sticking their heads into the hut to ask for more and more carrots. But totally safe, the deer only have little windows to put their heads to.

From the small car park, a delightful gentle walk along the lane, will lead you to a viewing platform(not wheelchair accessible), with grand views of Loch Ken, the surrounding countryside and different species of birds, including the red kites flying overhead.
Further along two hides to explore, rustic hides but with patience more good bird viewing.
You retrace your journey back to the car park. If someone has to drive along the lane for understandable purpose then please make sure the gate is closed and keep the speed down(arrogance and ignorance of the minority is not welcome at this peaceful heaven).

Sitting in a well maintained plot of ground with a drive up to the church this popular parish church. A very active Church in the community running a community Cafe on Thursdays
The Church was formed with the uniting of St Ringans and St Andrews in 1990
