This is certainly a very good place to visit. Clean, calm and unexplored beach. Amazing water sports activity and very good people. It takes 45 min to reach from Mandhwa port. Only junk food is available though to eat. For lunch very limited options specially for veg people. But a must visit place if travelling to Alibaug.

This beach is around 10 KMS from Alibaug bus station, hence one will find very few people here. Those who like quite Beaches is the best location for them.
No water games, no garden, no snacks corner nearby.
You can enjoy with your group/ accompany only here.
We had our room booked very much near to this beach ( Shivanjali holiday home) and we like such quite Beaches which is almost impossible to get in Mumbai.

It is definitely worth visiting a place if you are in Alibaugh area in monsoon or soon after monsoon season when it is still green. It can also be a nice trek on wintry mornings. The template isn't great architecturally however the overall experience of the trek and the views along the way make it worth.
As it is a temple on top of a hill, there are two-three ways to it so when searching for directions, if you want to take the path with steps, do not rely on Google only. You may end up on a different trail starting point which is on the other side of the hill, about 5 KM away from the place where stepped path starts from. These other trails are proper hiking trails which will be more fun than the stepped path however for those trails, you would need to be familiar with the area or take help of locals. Also, some rich people had bought lands and built vacations houses near those trails so the starting points to those trails are not that easily reachable. If you want to go via the stepped path, search for Mapgoan on the google maps.
About the steps and climb, do not be misguided by the number of steps, they are not like usual steps in a building. It is basically an inclined cobblestone path with the steps built in to break the incline. Each so-called step is 5 to 20 feet wide so you will be walking good 2.5 to 3 KMs. If you are from Pune, to give you a comparison, I can complete sinhagad trek in about 55 min and this took me about 40 min so you will break out a sweat. There is no water along the way so take water with you. There are a few small shops at the top near the temple.
Besides the main temple, there are 2-3 other temples at the top and 2 water wells (kunds).

Had great time this morning returning from Akshi beach via jetty.
Overall it's a great experience. Basis ferry schedule orgsniased by 3 operators i.e PNP, Maldar and Ajanta. I chose 9.30 AM Maldar ferry from Mandwa jetty for which they have connecting bus from Alibaug bus stand which left share at 8.30 (as I expected and and was told on phone from their contacts - which is good)
Category ranges between lower deck, Upper deck and Upper deck AC costing 125, 150 and 165 respectively.
Taking upper deck is good option for enjoying the breeze, Arabian sea beauty, birds and different small and big Ships, yatch, speed boat, marines, etc
I didn't track but guess it took about an hour to reach gateway as it was a awesome experience travelling in ferry.
Will certainly do more of it and soon.
Keep track of schedule to save time..

Very average beach. The waters are not clear and there was a lot of dirt on the beach. The city administration has not installed any dustbins on the beach. Hawkers roam free and there is no place to throw the trash in.
The water sports are available and they are reasonably priced.

Good experience
Visited with colleagues during early evening yesterday.
Beach is clean , there are horse rides to do, some water sports as well..
There are small time vendors selling fresh coconut water(Rs 25), nimbu paani and kaala khatta tupes (Rs 20) and renting cricket set, foot ball to play with.
There were free hammocks.
We overall found it very pleasant

This is a very little known attraction in Alibaug and it's worth taking some time out of the regular Beaches and forts of Alibaug to visit this. Infact it's on the way to Alibaug and not exactly inside Alibaug, so one can take out 30 minutes and visit the garden while going to Alibaug.
The bio diversity garden is an initiative of the Shapoorji Pallonji group and we came to know about it as one of our relative works in the group.
This garden has 17 different thematic sections namely sensory, medicinal, butterfly, wetland or pond ecosystem, grasses, ficus, orchids, ferns, bamboo, palms, spices, kitchen, vertical, adaptation, celebration and a sacred grove.
You will be given a guided tour of each section of the garden by Mr. Harsad who has a good knowledge of the subject and seems passionate about his work.
The garden is open all days (as per their website) and the entry is free. I would definitely recommend this to families with kids as it would be nice for kids to learn about various plant species.

This little gem is right on the Alibaug Mandwa road, approx 3 kms from Alibaug circle. They have one of the best looking clocks I have ever come across. And the collection is massive. In fact, some of the pieces are so amazing, that one feels like buying all of them.
The owner is a polite and very likeable gentleman. He will show you everything with great patience and humility. And I am sure he would be really proud of the product he sells.
I would recommend anyone who visits Alibaug, Kihim etc, to go and have a look at this treasure trove. I am sure you will not go out without buying something that you will treasure through out your life.
