Strategically located at the crossroads of Nigeria's ethnic and religious groups, Abuja is home to the country's Presidential Branch, National Assembly and Supreme Court. The impressive Aso Rock rises majestically over the city's central government district. The diverse architecture of the city is reflected in notable sites like the National Mosque, the National Christian Centre and the National Stadium. Daily markets throughout the city offer everything from pottery to local fruits and breads.

It is a centrally located place of worship for all Muslim faithfuls. It is a beautiful structure, well aired and stunning with its Iranian style calligraphy! It is also spacious, capable of accommodating hundreds of worshippers at a time.

Jabi mall is located just by jabi lake. It houses several retail outlets most popular being shoprite. There are several other very good outlets and also some restaurants by the lake. There are also some children's playspots that can occupy the kids while you sip on a coffee or beer or wine or spirits or....you get the point. The lake is very underutilised considering several things that can be done such as exciting boat rides etc. Hope this is done sooner rather than later.

I really like Dunes. It has items which are difficult to find elsewhere but is priced to reflect that!
That said, the sandwiches and meals in the cafe downstairs are tasty, the meat counter has a decent selection and they have some pretty good cheese in as well.
Because of the prices, this tends to be used by foreigners and more affluent people.

Children and nature lovers will find Usuma Dam a nice place to visit. It is quiet and captivating. I like the fact that one can walk on the pebbled bridge to get a better view of the water.

Had been here severally, mostly for our annual council meetings. Definitely an architectural show-piece and located in an accessible area. However the management would need to improve on the cleanliness when large crowds gather as well as the sanitary facilities.

This is one of the finest mosques in Abuja (the national mosque of course is still the best). Friday prayers by 1.30pm. The imam gives very very good sermons. Among the best in Nigeria (in my opinion)

Good beers, hard to find. But worth it! Ran by a couple of foreigners that love to make good beer. The location is not attractive at all, but try it!
