Named for the freed slaves that helped build the port town, Libreville has grown into an elegant and wealthy capital city since Gabon gained independence in 1960. The seafront boulevard is lined with expensive hotels and stores, while the Louis quarter is known for its stylish clubs, restaurants and bars. Pointe Denis, accessible by a short boat ride, is a resort island with some of the area's best beaches. The Sibang Arboretum, just outside the city, showcases the country's unique flora.

Restaurant depuis 1996
You are overwhelmed by the pizza choices and variants you have never heard about before. At a bit after opening time (19) I was about the only guest, but at 21 it was almost full - a popular choice by local, expats as well as the odd tourist. The location on harbour is a bit uncomfortable, so take a taxi or walk quickly to the main road nearby.

I don't know - it was hard to find and was helped by a french travelforum. Mind you; this was sept 2010, dont know if it still exists (but I do think so)
I went 3 times to Sakura during my time in Libreville, and Sakura
is the first and only japanese restaurant.
First, the atmosphere : very cold!
The quality of the food is good, but the price charged for sushis and sashimis
is just prohibitive...this is too expensive
The service is ok, but for the price charged, it should be improved!

Italian Restaurant
Superb restaurant - suitable for all occasions with attentive front-of-house staff and excellent food. Easily first choice in Libreville.

While a bit pricy you buy the best bread in town. As cafee properly not my first choice. If you are living in Libreville is recommendable to try some bread from there. If tourist guess not very interesting unless you miss you French bread.

For a snack or a buffet, an hour at the bar or a day by the swimming pool, the Beach Club is great for a family time.5 mins from the airport.Closed on mondays, buffets: friday night with orchestra and sunday breakfast and lunch.
Had the tenderloin steak with mixed veggies & rice and it was very good but it seemed to take a lifetime for our order to arrive. Second time had the chicken skewers with veggies and rice it was good too. I am convinced that every place we ate had untrained wait staff and it took way too long for food to arrive when the place was almost empty.

We decided to have diner with some friends in Lokua and were amazed by the quality of service and the organization of the personnel. Food was very good, though cookers were a bit long to prepare the meal. But overall an excellent performance, including the bar on ground floor where a band is playing live music ...

Don Vincenzo's provide high quality wood fired pizzas and other western dishes. An extremely popular spot with the expats and the affluent local Gabonese. Service is good and has a good ambience across the road from the sea. Reasonably priced by western standards. I always have a meal at Don Vincenzo when I am in Libreville.

Fish was fresh, seasoned and cooked tenderly. If people from Mississippi know cooking, then this restaurant really lives up to its name. Ignore the crotchety older waitress. Service is not rapid but most fish comes from chef well timed. I stayed in Libreville ten days and ate in restaurant and had take-out 5 times. Consistent food, really succulent and amazing.

The deco might not be to every one's liking. It is none the less an upmarket venue in Libreville, and as such you can expect to pay a premium. I have however experienced similar prices in restaurants of little quality in LBV.
When I visited the manager doing the round to each tables to give the specials of the day. Traditionnal fair were the order of the day, and I ended up not looking at the menu.
My order was well excecuted, service was well above average, and a very decent wine list.
In my opinion one of the very best in LBV.
