Adria restaurant and hotel certainly belong to the best in town. Menu focuses on Mediterranean cuisine but offers also vegetarian and vegan choices. Staff is friendly, skilled and prompt. Good choice of fish and seafood, but also typical Austrian Schnitzel or Tagliatelle with truffle taste awesome! Reservation highly recommended. I ll certainly return on my next visit to Wels

specially as starters they have a very good selection of tastefull dishes. Main dishes are typical greek, big portions and very tasteful. Athmosphere is very nice with mostly small tables and service is friendly and typically prompt. I have to bring my family here at least 3 times a year for birthday dinners...

We are living Austria's finest beer culture and Tradition. High quality and the old brewing traditions define our Family owned business. Our award-winning beer tapping, the unique beergarden and authentic food ensure a great Austrian dining experience. Enjoy typical Austrian country cuisine like Wiener Schnitzel, Tafelspitz or typical Goulash with the famous Upper Austrian dumplings. Seasonal specials are also part of our daily menu ( available only in German) For banquets and other events we offer special customized menus, like BBQ ribs, roast pork or dumpling specials.
they should be able to perform better at a local dish - mushrooms with dumplings - but failed. would cost 2 stars. BUT: one of the best thai curry ever ! how comes ? didnt see asian guy in the kitchen..good malatoff cake, käsespätzle solala.

traditional austrian restaurant called GASTHAUSvery nice typical austrian cuisine, the owners do the job themselves prices are very reasonable and service is quite friendlyplease add this restaurant to your web site
One of the few eating options we could find on an August Thursday evening in central Wels. The Zur Linde is a typical old-style Austrian Gasthaus, with some charm, including the traditional built-in benches. We enjoyed our draught beer, gruener Veltliner, delicious Schollenfilet (fried plaice) with boiled potatoes and gemischte Salate. Friendly service from our waiter Martin.
The following morning we spotted another nearby place which would appeal to fans of traditional Austrian inns - the Hotel Gösserbräu, which also has an attractive beer garden/outdoor restaurant.

My Boyfriend has written a rewvie following our recent visit to Wels:
Being originally from Wels, I love having lunch or dinner at this place whenever I am back in town.
My family has been going to this restaurant for 3 generations now, and while the interior has been modernised in recent years, food quality and service have remained as excellent as ever.
The beef broth, available with various garnishes (pancake strips, liver dumplings, etc.), is very, very tasty as starter.
For main course, local favourites like Schnitzel, Schweinsbraten (roast pork) or Gulasch are available as well as seasonal delicacies like venison or lighter meals such as fish or pasta.
A real treat for dessert are the varying homemade and locally sourced cakes (ice cream is available as well).
Obermair’s Wirtshaus can also be recommended for a traditional Austrian “Jause” (cold dinner), for which you can choose from various traditional and extremely tasty cold dishes.
In short, if you are looking for good Austrian food, this is the place to go! (Make sure to have a booking if you want a table on weekends – it’s very busy!)

I have visited a couple of times and have really enjoyed myself each time. Service is efficient and friendly and in the summer months, it's nice to sit outside in the courtyard. The dishes of the day are excellent, especially the fish I have had on a Friday. Their club Sandwich is also a really good option, with lots of meat and fillings. Wines by the glass are well-priced, as well. Will definitely come here some more.

Just eaten here this evening and wanted to add my commendation to what is an excellent restaurant.
Attentive staff even brought me a copy of National Geographic when they realised I was dining alone this evening.
Started with speciality Mushroom served, served warm into my bowl at the table. followed by exquisite wild boar and finished with a marvellous selection of Austrian Cheeses.
Ok so at 50€ it wasn't the cheapest meal in town, but for a really elegant treat I would highly recommend Lowenkeller when next in Wels.

Good location and friendly staff. We dropped by for a coffee which was fine. The service was quick and the waiter was kind enough to bring our little dog something to drink as well.
