Went there for somebodies birthday party. the staff were very nice and helpful but the food was very bad.
the pizzas weren't cooked properly, the pasta overcooked and tasteless the buffalo mozzarella salad was very unlikely to have been buffalo and most of the dishes seemed to have been precooked and reheated in the microwave.
the Deserts seemed ok but probably not home made
all in all a bad experience that will not be repeated

The award winning Waterfront Cafe is situated in the heart of rural Oxfordshire, perched on the banks of the River Thames at Benson. The cafe is open seven days a week throughout the year serving food all day. During the summer months (April-September) the evening bistro is open Tuesday - Sunday evening until 10pm - Mondays 8am until 6pm.The idyllic setting makes it a perfect place to watch the stunning sunsets over the river with a glass of wine.Opening at 8am the cafe is ready to serve the early risers breakfast. A traditional full English, Eggs benedict, bacon Sandwich, freshly baked Croissants and Danish pastries are just some of the choices available. Daily homemade specials are excellent value and always popular with the regulars. Alternatively we offer our all day menu with a wide range of homemade favorites, lighter plates and freshly baked baguettes which can always be taken away for those on a tight schedule. The cafe is also renowned for its impressive selection of homemade cakes and desserts and is popular with those with a sweet tooth. Ice creams or cream teas can also be enjoyed on the large patio - weather permitting!During the summer months the evening bistro comes alive and offers an additional menu which allows our chefs to showcase their culinary talents.
Really friendly, happy staff who are very welcoming. Great range of offerings with additional specials board. Pricing is very fair, portions are substantial and quality of food is very good. Presentation is not a particular strength, however everything tasted great. Well worth checking out, very popular, parking can be an issue.

Freezing cold night was good to get into the nice warm venue. Very nice space and warm.
Starter:
Supposedly Gambas pil pil but was instead presented with a tiny ramakin sized bowl filled with tomato sauce. Someone needs to reacquaint the chefs with the recipe for gambas pil pil which is sizzling prawns served in garlic and chilli oil not a bland tomato sludge. Pretty dreadful.
On digging deeper found a prawn. That was one of seven. Therefore paid £7.25 for seven tomato prawns. This is pretty outrageous.
Main:
Main was the house burger which took a while to arrive. It was however cooked as ordered and was tasty and well presented. Small in size and with a small cup of fries, pricey at £13.
In summary over priced and not as expected given the venue. Wouldn’t go back.

Excellent. I booked a table for 10 people for a birthday meal. We were very well looked after all night, despite it being a wednesday evening, the restaurant was well occupied by other big parties too.
The restaurant is light and airy with plenty of spare between tables.
When it came to the bill, instead of adding on a surcharge for more than 6 people, they gave us a 20% discount which was a lovely gesture and very unexpected. After they found out it was my birthday, they gifted me a bottle of Champagne too.
What more could you ask for?
Attention to details: excellent
Food: excellent, (try the Sambucca Flamin' Korai, it makes for a great video moment)
A hefty tip was left for a way of saying thanks
See you again
Theresa and my family.

The Six Bells at Warborough is a beautiful English Pub dating from the 1600's in the heart of South Oxfordshire.

All are welcome at The Six Bells.

The bar is a friendly place where you can spend time relaxing in front of our open fire while unwinding after a long day or just watch the world go by with a glass of your favourite.....

Families are welcome and feel free to bring your dog into the bar area too!
Sunday roast beef inedible (tough), vegetables tasteless and overall the worst pub meal I have had - almost ever.
Service haphazard and no offer of recompense whatever in return for a main sent back not even half eaten. Did not attempt desserts, which for my other companions arrived after such a delay that we cancelled them, only to be told they were plated already and waiting to come to table.
Have come home to cook a decent meal.
Will not be back.

postcode OX10 0ES. they make the best pizza in the world!
It's been two weeks since my last Pizza Cafe and I've barely thought about anything else. That pizza infiltrated my being and left it's cheesy goodness permeated my body and soul for days to come.
Like that Ex you'll get over, I've tried to move on. Oh, I've tried. Pizza Express dazzled with its decor, Dominoes wooed with it's offers. But truth be told, this wonderful local business is still going as strong as ever for one reason: their pizzas are the 8th wonder of the world.
I'm a little hungover, and perhaps a little emotional, but most of what I've said is true.

This is the 3rd time we’ve come here so about time we wrote a review! Extremely warm, cosy atmosphere, with the exposed stone, wooden beams, a fireplace and dim lighting. The coolest and cosiest chairs in the place are made from wooden barrels and even...MoreDogs are always welcome at the HSH

The food was very nice and there were a couple of vegetarian meals on the menu which suited me . The selection of menu choices for carnivores was good. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere in general was good. The beer very good.
