I apologise for the reason we were there; it was raining cats and dogs and this was the closest refuge but thank God for the rain!!! Offers a fine range on the menu, we went Middle and Far eastern in our choice, an Arab mixta followed by the Pollo de Curry and Lomo Thai (chicken curry and pork thai style) and the flavours were to die for!!! We visit Villa da Leyva on a monthly basis so will be there again in the very near future.

The emotional factor: I decided to have a belated birthday 'cake', and I was alone (not the most Latin thing to do, right?), so I chose the Wafflería. Best choice! the place is gorgeous, and it has beautirul and comfortable furtiture. The service is great; all the waiters are ready to serve you, paying attention to then they should removed the dishes or offer something else, without being obtrusive. There is a lvie music show with a very talented singer. The place is apt for families, couples, and groups of friends. I ordered a waffle with fruit, oreo cookies, and some incredible mango syrup which happened to include mint, so it was very refreshing! Highly recommendable!
Just beware: waffles can be extremely sweet, so make sure you tell the waiter exactly how sweet or not you want your waffle. They'll make it work.
Definitely a place to go back to. They make you feel at home.

Restaurant try to present itself as unique, portions were small and overpriced.
Menu selection is very limited and they don't have menus in English.
Prices are high for what you get and compared to other excellent options in Villa de Leyva.
It was overrated. Very poor service!

Very nice restaurant located in the oldest house in la Villa!! Went for lunch with some friends that were in la Villa and wanted something different.
The food was very good and we had salads, crepes sarracin, a delicious potatoes and seafood dish, pasta for the youngest and wines by the glass. The service was a bit slow but we had time. Will go back to try more authentic french food! Tres Bon :-)

Stumbled on this location based on an excellent rating out of Bogota. What a hidden gem. Everything we had was delicious. The pizza, four cheese spaghetti and spaghetti with meat sauce. All the dishes were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was very nice. Get there early as this is a popular place or be willing to wait a little for an open table. Service is quick so tables open up reasonably fast.
The gelato was absolutely the best we've had in south america.
A must visit when in Villa de Leyva.

The evening we spent at this live music bar and restaurant was one of the most memorable of all our evenings in Colombia. The food was excellent, the music enchanting, the waitress spoke excellent English. We ordered many dishes and enjoyed them all! We spent a long evening here with beers, food, dessert, coffee.

Giuseppe Focacceria is an invitation to Giuseppe and MaryAngeles's house, amidst beautiful countryside to dream about those Sundays afternoons in a typical Italian south village , visiting La Casa de la Mamma, and tasting the typical flavors of Italy. They don't have an extensive menu, because the food is prepared in front of you , not frozen, everything is fresh and of the highest quality, the antipasti are salamis, procciutto, Greek cheeses and Italian olives and other delicacies imported from Italy, Greece and Turkey. Not a place to go in a hurry, is to take the time to come and sit quietly admiring a beautiful view in pleasant company. This place has a special energy, where every bite dreaming or planning new trips made enjoying. It is a beautiful place for a good conversation, and invites us to re-recognize that small things in life are important, prepared sauces simmered, eat slowly and enjoy the homemade at the time.

The restaurant is as many say like been at home. The owner attended all our needs. However the menu is limited to antipasto, spaghetti and focaccia. Everything was great specially the focaccia but I hope for a better wine menu (there wasn't any).
If you wish to enjoy the scenery out of villa de Leyva and still find yourself at home this is it.

The place looks nice and cozy. The sandwiches are really good. I had the Roastbeef and it was delicious. We also tried the tomato soup, the “napolitano” Sandwich and they were really good as well!
The service was on point too. Will definitely come back and recommend.

Food is reasonable but a bit overpriced, the service was bad - first attempt to remove my plate when I paused for a moment I actually managed to fight off, but the second attempt while I was still chewing caught me unawares and with a mouth full I couldn't do anything. It was so lightening quick. Weren't even offered a dessert menu ... yep on Valentine's Day. Clearly they wanted us out so they could close up 45 mins before the published close time. Needless to say I declined the service charge and will be choosing another restaurant tomorrow.
